I always dig "old school" action films. In modern blockbusters I can't barely tell what's going on the screen, it's like every director has an uncurable case of ADD.

Rambo and Rambo II are great beer movies btw.

Are they making another Jurassic Park... :?

Who's directing Dambusters by the way? I heard that Peter Jackson wanted to do it at some point (might have ended producing it only)

PD: Is Untouchables: Capone Rising for real or are you pulling my legs?

For those who say he's not a goalscorer: Since Atlético's return to the First Division in 2002 he has been their top scorer every season. He has scored 75 times in 173 games, twice finishing as La Liga's top-scoring Spaniard, never failing to get into double figures. Over the past four seasons only...

Fernando Torres to Liverpool

It's all in our sports media here. Apparently Liverpool is close to signing him, pending agreeing economic terms. Overrated player in my opinion, but think his playstile suits the English game (although there's the Spanish striker curse...). Still a good thing for him if he leaves that hellhole that...

Hmm, Madrid Captain who has fallen on hard times, I wonder who might be interested . . . He has a contract that states that he will always be the player with the highest wages at Real. Not sure you really want him ;) There was a rumour that Florentino Pérez was so fed up with him that tried ...

Yes he has a big ego and a great influence given his past achievements and popularity amongst the fans. He's actually been quite troublesome these last seasons where he has been benched often due to his decadence.

Anyone know why he's been sacked? Is it because of how they did in the champs league? In truth he was lucky to last this long. Unpopular defensive football, signings that often didn't work (Horseface apart), sending the popular Becks to Coventry... his (cliche alert) Italian-style "winning football...

So how does Terry's arrival affect the remarkably cute Eidur??? He's not transfer listed at the moment, although I can hardly see him being more than the 5th player for the 3 attacking positions. Given that he's a high wage player it seems he would be out, but the buzz is that he'll stay. He starte...

Wonder what EPL stadium is closest to Barcelona. Pompey I guess?

And the closest football stadium to my first home was the one of CF Badalona, which I played in their youth teams.

Currently I guess I live closest to CE Mataró, currently on 3rd Division. I've gone to see some games there.

Well we'll take him if you are not sure Arsenal for relegation? Well the last striker from the EPL that I thought was washed up probably has given Real Madrid the title. Shows how good I'm at this. And I don't think Henry was effectual enough this year to matter much in Arsenal's fortunes. However,...

I'm a bit hesitant on Henry. After seeing him this year I fear he has washed up. Properly motivated I think he's still great, though.

I have tried very hard to ignore this thread... We brought it over ourselves anyway. And I too believe that Becks picks up and undeserved amount of slack. If you remove all the hype surrounding him, he gives it all on the field. It's just that this "all" is much less than all the media machine has l...

How are you lot doing btw? I glanced the CCC table the other day and I saw you cushioned midtable. One of my best friends is a diehard Sunderland fan. Funny story behind it... Absolutely off topic but... haven't got a photo of Kavanagh in a Sunderland strip yet?

And I guess Blackurn fans are just adopting the "He doesn't leave, it's us who kick him out" attitude.
