I live in the hope that, maybe one day, the press will get wind of the fact that should you deprive extremist groups the oxygen of publicity they thrive on, they'll shrivel up and die a lot quicker. Alas, I won't hold my breath waiting for that rational ...

Decent little match that. Sylvinho's goal was immense. Scunthorpe can be pleased with that performance I think.

Des Walker? Went to Italy and came back quite frankly a shadow of his old self Des Walker had a long term injury I recall... after which, his pace was shot. Same goes for (mentioned elsewhere) Neil Webb. He did his achilles in playing for England if I remember correctly and never quite recovered. I...

I'm struggling to think of another player who has been on such a staggering decline for seemingly no reason.

Damn shame.

That's still got that dated lettering that (I, personally think) needs to go.

Robbie Savage spits the dummy on radio

Listen to the radio clip in the article.

There's a lot of squirming going in the clip. :)

http://i79.photobucket.com/albums/j127/mofgimmers/newBWFCbadge.jpg I'm still quite taken with it. It'd look good in navy on a new home shirt (which, with any luck, will be retro and quite simple a la Burnley and Villa's away kit). Add a BWFC above it in the same typeface as the 1877 above the eleph...

Aye, the red rose should be in it!

I don't think the old crest is that good an idea though as it doesn't exactly lend itself well to promotion and branding which, whether you like it or not, is a fundamental part of being a football club these days.
