Re: Saviour XI

Surely some of these will be in contention: Andy Oakes, Ian Walker Danny Livesey, Steve Howey, Julio Cesar, Blazej Augustyn, Jaroslaw Fojut, Sebastien Puygrenier, Mark Connolly Mario Espartero, Gerald Forschelet, Glen Little, Jon Otsemobor (billy big boots), Ricky Shakes (for that FA cup goal), N'Di...

Re: FA Cup 4th Round

Im hoping that Owen Coyle will start mixing up our team and mixing the formation and substitutions. 4-5-1 into a 4-3-3 instead of the 4-4-2 we have been using far too much this season. Confidence is obviously low at this moment in time but I don't think it helps when we're leaving those up front tha...

Re: RIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGGGGGGGGGGGGGAAAAA

Showed a lot of promise in the early stages but never quite lived up to his billing. Probably only really talked about thanks to his name and how to pronounce it. Can't say i'm overly fussed that he's going. I'm more concerned about his lack of chances while he was here but that was, i'd imagine, ma...

Re: Bolton vs York City

Can count his touches on one hand?

Isn't Cohen the one who had the shot that flew over the bar with his left peg early on? Couldn't tell if it was him or Sparky. Either way they should've took it with the right peg.

Re: January transfer window...

David Wheater being the right buy? I wasn't convinced with him when he was at Middlesbrough and i'm still not convinced he's the right man for the job now. I'm sure Coyle can give the lad a bit of confidence and get him playing better but I wouldn't think he's an improvement to what we've already go...

Re: Do we need to worry?

Well seeing as Dalglish has gone to Liverpool that looks like a non-starter thank gawd. I'm not overly concerned about losing Coyle at this present juncture. I don't think one of the really big clubs would come in for him (see. Arsenal, Chelsea, Man Utd, Man City and to a lesser extent Spurs) so the...

Re: Bolton vs York City

I thought we were bright and lively for 5 minutes out of the first half and even that was between the 10th and 15th minute when Robbie Blake started his runs at their defense. Then all of a sudden things didn't quite work for him and he stopped running at defences and you could tell he was no longer...

Re: Wiggin

Typical. Once again we fail to capitalise on yet another team that is struggling. We had the chances to win it and had it not been for the fine saves from Pollitt we would've took all three points. So disappointing seeing as they were there for the taking. They lost one of their better players in Cl...

Not sure it's been mentioned, but we've invited Klasnic's nephew for a trial in the academy. He's called Vlatka Primorca and is 16. http://www.vecernji.hr/sport/nogomet/bolton-pozvao-necaka-ivana-klasnica-svoj-kamp-probu-clanak-232881" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Typo on the name ...

Re: Wanderers v Liverpool

I used to like Torres but over the years he's become a true Liverpool player. When he scores he doesn't so much as celebrate as snarl now. Reminds me of Fabregas a bit, just seems utterly detestable...though I could be wrong, I don't know him. Thats because he used to enjoy working for Liverpool. N...

Riga to be given a last chance saloon game? Or is it likely we'll be showing him the exit door instead?

Re: Bare Bones

Despite all of these injuries though, surely we must have enough in the squad to be able to field more substitutes. Why not the likes of Adam Blakeman, Rhys Bennett, Ryan Stayte an Joe Riley from the youth/reserve team squads. Surely a bench with at least one out an out defender would've provided so...

If you take a look at the following website you can see the number of injuries each team has (aswell as predicted return dates). You will see that Sunderland top the list with 8 whilst Bolton have 5 injuries. http://www.physioroom.com/news/english_premier_league/epl_injury_table.php Sunderland manag...

Re: Wanderers v Liverpool

I'm not surprised. Another Liverpool victory that could've been so much different. A last minute offside goal and a goal by a player who could've easily been sent off in the first half. We gave a good account of ourselves and have been done in again. The Wigan game is the one we should be looking at...

Re: Happy Anniversary .... now get a job you idle b'stard

There is no historical revision going on whatsoever. Megson purchased excellent players on the whole with a few duds. His poor coaching, technical and people skills meant he could utilise those players to their full but there really is no debate in my humble opinion that he got us a brilliant set o...

Re: Wanderers v Liverpool

Never been a better time to play Liverpool at Anfield? We were saying the same about Chelsea and the same about Liverpool when we played them at home. We're notorious for not taking full advantage of situations like this and Liverpool will feel firmly favourites despite the current league position. ...

Re: The Trotters vs Mighty Russian Empire (Chelski away)

As an aside this is the only match this season that i've not seen a great improvement at the end of the match in terms of our attacking impetous. We trailed off at the end today and it seems evident that our players are feeling the impact of the congested fixture list. Hopefully we can find the extr...

Re: The Trotters vs Mighty Russian Empire (Chelski away)

We were unlucky not to come away with a point today. Chelsea are a shadow of a side they once were and it showed. It was all Bolton in the first half and Chelsea were lacklustre. The shot by Ricketts was the defining moment had that gone in i'm sure we could've gone on and secured the points. Once a...

Re: Happy Anniversary .... now get a job you idle b'stard

Megson could've got a job by now but I doubt he'd've been paid more than we have been paying him. Judging from all the baying from the fans and the amount of desire to have him ousted from the team it looks like a good job for Megson will be hard to come by. A championship team will no doubt be like...
