Re: Haven't Seen You Her-Bi-Vore. Inaugural Meat-ing. Forest Green Rovers (H) Sat 12/09/20 15:00 (Division 4)

Seemed like the whole passing game went out the window today in favour of a more route one approach. I suspect that Evatt is not setting the team out to do that and it's gone against his wishes somewhat. Understandably the players are warning to change it up given the last two results and everyone ...

Re: Closed Doors - Episode One: The Bantam Menace - Bradford C (H), 3:00pm, 05/09/20 (League Cup)

I was happy to see improvement today. Some sloppy mistakes at the back which we were rightly punished for, vast majority of the game I thought we were the ones in control. No real cutting edge up front sadly, seemed like an exercise in ball retention and not one of putting it in the net. Given time ...

Hard not to like the sentiments that he's coming out with. Definitely impressing so far and seems like the most sensible and progressive manager we've had for quite some time.

Re: COVID-19/20 season

I hope the club said that they would be against getting automatic relegation.

Ending the season early was probably the right thing to do but to turn around and say we'll take a relegation without putting up a challenge seems a little hard to take.

Hopefully next season is a fresh start.

Re: Division Four, 2020-?

Well folks money isn't everything and I'm sure we'll have at least some competitive edge in terms of pulling players. Whilst teams like Barrow may be the new up and comers with a good manager heading into the league, the fact that we've got a massively higher quality stadium and facilities may prove...

How come we don't have any strikers/forwards on the bench?

Injuries or some back handed insult of 'your not playing well enough'?

Re: Deduction prediction

I suspect that the punishment will be around 6 points and doled out either at the start of the next season, or at the end of this, depending on where we finish. If we finish in the drop zone, they can easily add a points deduction without impacting the squad. If we finish well above the drop zone, i...

Re: Can we give the junior citizens the blues? Man City u23s EFL Trophy (H) 29.10.19 KO 7pm

Quite like the idea of the lower league cup. Hate the idea that the U21's were introduced into the competition though. How demoralizing for fans to know that their first team is worse than some premier league sides U21 team. Play the youth team. Let the lads have a run in the team. Ironically, you ...

Lets sign Yannick. Put him straight in the first team.

Yannick's no Chris Herd however....

Re: Should we try to bring back Wellington silva

What a strange question to ask.

Fairly certain playing top level football in his home country is a far more exciting prospect than coming to a struggle league one club with points deductions and more expected.

Re: Darren Pratley - yeh or nah

I've never been that impressed with Pratley. Came here under the guise that he was well rated at Swansea but didn't deliver that expectation. Add to that we've had a steady decline for years his time here wasn't helped by those around him. He gave a good account of himself and never said a bad word ...

Can understand his situation to some extent but to not play after getting paid (allegedly) then it is a poor show. If he wanted to leave that badly he shouldn't have been turning up to training. Not playing today is punishing the fans who have been rather tolerant of his piss poor performances last ...

A win today would be great. Not so much for the three points but more for the history books, like McGinlay in the net for example.

To take such a threadbare squad and get something from it would be immense. (wishful thinking of course)
