Re: Pies in administration
Does sound a bit more Bury than Bolton at the moment. Whilst admins are getting plenty, can see them trying to sell it for any more than lowest possible to pay the bills..officer_dibble wrote: ↑Wed Jan 20, 2021 9:10 pmThey sound more Bury than Bolton. I think the pandemic has saved them. Seem to be drifting under the EFL radar

Re: Half season predictions
Agree with comment about last 15 minutes not being preferable, but, we've picked up 8 points with goals in last 15 so far, which shows we keep going...

Re: Half season predictions
Three biggest recruitment problems for me (in this order): 1. Goalkeeper - he had feck all experience and to not sign a fit back up as well...idiocy. 2. Left (wing) back. Gordon had no league experience - the man was on set piece duty as well first game! Mascoll has never been fancied and to sign b...

Re: Half season predictions
He's not going to say - we'll settle for mid-table, now is he? I think pre-season, I was sat at "play-offs" which given that covers 1/3 of the league pretty much, I still don't think that was then an unreasonable target (bearing in mind we might miss any target). I think, us being at 17th isn't goo...

Re: Half season predictions
I’m just tempering my inner Ian Evatt. 1. I underestimated what we had signed and how long it takes a team to gel. 2. I probably underestimated the quality of the league (albeit that’s a hard one to analyse). I had seen some league two in the last couple of seasons and thought pretty poorly of it b...

Yeah, I'm not at bin him off, but not at what a great debut either. Don't think he gave us the lift Kioso gave us. It was so much his longer passes for me (and those are some you win, some you lose), it was his switch passes, whilst we picked some up, quite a few were behind where they were needed a...

That would mean he gave the ball to them once every 2 point something minutes...and the 63% he hit to a white shirt weren't very accurate.DJBlu wrote: ↑Sat Jan 16, 2021 9:06 pmBut.....nicholaldo wrote: ↑Sat Jan 16, 2021 8:26 pmAccording to Iles, we made 576 passes today. 101 of them came from Jackson.

Re: Will we be at the races? Cheltenham (h) Saturday 16 Jan 15:00 KO (GMT)
I think Arthur doesn’t start because he’s pretty inconsistent and his end products a bit hit and miss. He’s been injured as well to be fair - Tuesday was the first time he was fit enough for the bench I think. Having said that he would be in my team for the next game. This formation suits him a lot...

Re: Will we be at the races? Cheltenham (h) Saturday 16 Jan 15:00 KO (GMT)
What on earth have we brought Brockbank on for? Jones was getting joy down there so bring a centre back on to do the job? Harry won't give the ball away as much. As he aimlessly lumps it at the centre half for the third time... Jones was infinitely better. A far better player than Brockbank will ev...
