Re: The Nostradamus file....
I might have missed it, and apologies if I have, but has anyone come out and said that the whole financial workings of the club are predicated on being promoted in 2024, and if we don't do this then we are all doomed and half our squad need to be sold for half their value just to keep the lights on...

Re: The Nostradamus file....
It’s a completely different scenario but we’ve seen clearly and Evatt has admitted how ‘playing our strongest team’ in the cups hasn’t helped us. When you are Bolton in league one the only thing that matters and it is the only thing is getting out of the league via promotion. I think we’ve somewhat...

^^ Imagine how delighted we'll be when we sneak second!
I too had 3rd, Charles, May and Derby...the poor one for me was Charlton who I had 2nd...

Re: The Nostradamus file....
I gotta say (in a non-gammon way), that we'd be absolutely gutted if Derby lost and we didn't get what we needed after playing a weak side. If I were resting a few - and I'm not against resting some who might be tired/carrying niggles, I might want to keep them in close proximity to the bench, on t...

^^ the gobbledegook just meant that the teraflop drive had suffered a Err:2071 and it's AI module requested it made crumpets. Hope that clears it up. I'm a bit torn with this one. Half of me says people would have this final set of games as "must win" we're they occurring in Feb/March. We'd be looki...

Re: Breaking pots... Home v Port Vale Sat 20th Apr. 3-0'Clock.
No relevance at all mate other than new is obviously "better" :-) Overall, we can't really knock "volume of goals," I too, think it was trickier than it looked to put the Charles/Collins effort to bed. The issue for me isn't when it's working and we win by a few, it's the tight games where we drop 2...

Part of me says "that's our season" we could've won 4, 5 or 6. Yesterday. But when it really counts..officer_dibble wrote: ↑Sun Apr 21, 2024 6:47 pmDidn’t say it was a howler, just one of them I can’t believe it didn’t go in!

Yup. That's where I'm at. Just wanted to get in there with some positive praise for.him before the usual.diafribe of shit comes his way. Also noticeable how close he seems with the rest of the team - not unlike our 37 year old, seems a good egg to have around the team. I'd love him to be a 20 goal ...

Re: Breaking pots... Home v Port Vale Sat 20th Apr. 3-0'Clock.
Every credit to big Dan - looked good when he came on I don’t know what you were watching but I admire the optimism. Well, I watched a big strong forward come on after a long injury lay off and scrap for every ball and hold it up well. I know you don't like him, but I thought he looked decent... No...

Bit of a microcosm if the season. Should have been 5 but a decent showing...
Dunno what I'd do next week tbh...don't like surrendering whilst there's hope...

Yeah I thought he was largely CB. Trying to recall last time he played...didn't we move Toal to CCB?

Re: Breaking pots... Home v Port Vale Sat 20th Apr. 3-0'Clock.
What I’m getting at is he’s clearly carrying something. Evatt has said playing him risks making it worse. So do we risk that in the next two or save him for the play offs. It’s not necessarily he’s fit to play or isn’t. It could be a he’s fit but could make it worse playing. Would you risk him in t...
