Re: Site For Sale
Someone just told me TW was looking for a new home. I can't believe it's been nearly 10 years since I joined. I doff my cap to you Keveh, that's quite a shift. I run a forum hosting company nowadays, PlushForums . I haven't read the whole thread but it seems like you're already in the capable hands ...

Re: The Championship 2013/14
Classic. Let's look forward to the new season by deciding which of our most talented players we should ship off first. Only on TW.

Re: Sordell on the bench
Funny how Sordell received no credit at all when he created a goal from nothing recently by chasing down a lost cause, outfighting his opponent and then finding a white shirt. If that was Craig Davies people would be saying he deserves a 10-game run. If it were Kevin Davies? Saint Kev hasn't won a l...

Re: Sordell on the bench
Whether it's true or not he'd be the first I'd be trying to get rid of. Soft, lazy and shite. Ridiculously crap panic buy by Coyle and an enormous waste of money. Useless again yesterday. Erudite as always, LE. I don't think that's the opinion Watford fans had of him. I just checked Twitter and I d...

Re: The Championship 2013/14
To be honest we weren't going to beat Watford, Brighton or Palace over two legs. I'm just happy that we might have a bright future over the next 20 years. By the time Clueless was deposed, I thought I'd be an old man before we saw a decent Prem promotion campaign. I imagined waiting decades for the ...

Re: Dougie Freedman - New Manager
This might be off the mark but I see Holloway as a more antagonistic version of Owen Coyle. Another Keegan-esque "just go out and play" one-trick pony of a manager that implodes the second he faces a bit of adversity. It's unfortunate for Palace that they didn't have the financial firepower to keep ...

Re: Coyle on Talksport now
Surely we have the likes of Dougie, Curtis, Lennie, Phillips and Lee to influence the young players in the right way. I'm not entirely convinced what Kevin Davies can add to that. But if they feel he can then I think it would have to be in the correct role, not just as some "overpaid bench warmer"....

Re: Biggest game of the season - Brighton @ Home
I don't retract any prior comments about Pratley because they were generally backed up by performances. But it's great to see him showing what he's capable of with a bit of confidence and a decent manager. He's shown real character to come through what must have been the worst form of his career. W...

Re: Away at Mick McCarthy's Super Ipswich Town
This is just the type of game Wanderers almost always lose. A string of outstanding results, fans becoming increasingly hopeful. Then comes the dreaded 'winnable game' against a crap team that will consolidate our recent performances and keep the momentum going. Then we go and lose it. Happens every...

Re: Everton In The Cup
Apparently Chungy is playing really well. Glad to see him getting back to his best. Putting himself in the shop window? I think when you've still screws in your broken leg that cause you pain and other issues, you're probably going to be a bit hesitant and might need some time to play yourself back...

Re: Palace Game
One of the better 0-0s I've seen and a good day out. It's been a long time since I had to imagine what was going on behind the pillar obscuring my view. I thought it was a good result and a good game, with both sides controlling long periods. It was a game that actually had some structure, some patt...

Re: Dougie Freedman - New Manager
I'd imagine Dougie has had to create an atmosphere at the club where he has no preconceptions, the slate is wiped clean, you're all in contention, etc, etc. To follow through on such a promise he has to play tinkerman, at least at first. I would guess it's improved morale and team spirit no end , e...

Re: Sussex by the sea!
Which of our vast array of forward firepower, do you think is good enough to replace him at the moment Willy? I'd say NGog on the basis of that he can actually hold a ball up and moves faster than me carrying you on my back. He's got 2 in as many starts (think I'm correct with that) and I'd really ...

Re: The Blackburn thread.
Nope Eagles played on the left tonight, Butterfield just behind Kev and have to say the two of them linked up very, very well. Kev seemed to win at least 90% of the long balls played up to him and would quite often knock the ball simple down to Butterfield leaving him the option of dribbling throug...

Keeps us in touch with the playoff pack... just. Good win, unbeaten under Dougie... just. We're turning around like an oil tanker here but we definitely seem to have shifted direction.
