Re: Up Winter Hill Bah't hat. Home to Barnsley, Tues 7th May 8-0 clock

Anyone else nervous? Only in the sense that we all know deep down it’s likely to be a game where they come and have a go and put us under pressure, probably score and it gets edgy. At least I think that’s what we all expect. It’s just down to us to deal with it. Honestly think the biggest thing for...

Re: Up Winter Hill Bah't hat. Home to Barnsley, Tues 7th May 8-0 clock

Evatt ‘nothing is achieved tomorrow night’.

Agree entirely. This is the right attitude. Play offs are nothing if you don’t win them. And tomorrow night will not likely be easy. Big job to do and IF they do it then it counts for nowt unless they do the next one.

Re: Up Winter Hill Bah't hat. Home to Barnsley, Tues 7th May 8-0 clock

Guess we'll never know who did what, when, just quite a few on theirs called it t'other way round as their attendances hadn't been great at home, recently, due to indifferent form. Dunno. Agree it's the couple of blocks to WSL that have chunks missing...NSL (my preferred stomping ground) also seems...

Re: Up Winter Hill Bah't hat. Home to Barnsley, Tues 7th May 8-0 clock

Yeah, looks to me like the biggest mass unsold blocks are the South West corner, and the entirety of North Upper. Given that South West is normally not home fans, and the North Upper is usually families, guess it sorta tracks that it's term-time school night and TV factors keeping folk away... Mayb...

Re: Up Winter Hill Bah't hat. Home to Barnsley, Tues 7th May 8-0 clock

It’s a bit modern footballitis I guess. At burnden back in the day people would queue for hours for these occasions. Now the biggest game of the season rocks round and it’s ’oh it’s an evening game bit tricky’. I get it to an extent it just feels odd. If we go through I will be interested to see ho...

Re: Up Winter Hill Bah't hat. Home to Barnsley, Tues 7th May 8-0 clock

We sold out in 95 for the league cup final the took about 25k for the play off. It is what it is. Weeknights on the motorway coupled with work patterns limits me to Saturdays. If we wanted to sell out to plastics week in week out we’d turn into one of the premier league lot and frankly I’d rather b...

Re: Up Winter Hill Bah't hat. Home to Barnsley, Tues 7th May 8-0 clock

Only sold just over 22K for this. I never really understand Bolton fans. 26 for what was always likely to be meaningless against Portsmouth. Then our biggest game of the season so far and likely to be under 25 thousand. What’s the issue? Tickets are reasonably priced. Is it KO time? Or are too many ...

Re: Up Winter Hill Bah't hat. Home to Barnsley, Tues 7th May 8-0 clock

I suspect this will be laughed out of town but I’ve been thinking about the fact we now go into a game (and maybe one after) where there is potential for extra time and *shudder* penalties. And was thinking about that and how Evatt uses his strikers. Charles and Collins are clearly our first choices...

If I can get Internet via mobile data I will pick a drink from the bar and try and find a comfy couch
Feels like we maybe have to get there first before worrying about the practicalities of how to watch a match that might not even happen?

Re: Up Winter Hill Bah't hat. Home to Barnsley, Tues 7th May 8-0 clock

That’s very true TD. We have a huge job to do Tuesday. Tie is not over. It will be hard. And it’s easy to get carried away but hopefully the players aren’t and are completely focussed on Tuesday. Have to play the game as though it’s 0-0 and we need to win. Anything less than that spells trouble.

That Mason-Clark is some player isn't he?! Yeesh, don't fancy him against Geth on a big pitch (again). Come on you yellows.
Or Poku up against Toal…..

Keeps that tie interesting but still fancy Peterborough big time. They have so much going forwards. Oxford will need to hit them on the break and do it very well.

Re: Up Winter Hill Bah't hat. Home to Barnsley, Tues 7th May 8-0 clock

Sadly don’t see anyone but Peterborough winning that tie.

Wembley suits them both to be fair but it’s the power and pace of Peterborough’s many forwards that concerns me, IF we are to get there.

Re: Up Winter Hill Bah't hat. Home to Barnsley, Tues 7th May 8-0 clock

He's a little shit but I'd have him back in a heartbeat. Not for me. Let him rot in the lower leagues. Which is his level. He’ll not come back, but he’s the best player we’ve produced in a while. I also think he’s no worse than Thomason on the discipline front. Thomason mistimes some tackles and ca...

Re: Up Winter Hill Bah't hat. Home to Barnsley, Tues 7th May 8-0 clock

Surely Connell has to be banned for this one for the stamp? Has to be some retrospective action for that. Awful. Not much made of it, so can’t see it. Cosgrove managed to divert attention from it the massive bell end. Would expect them both to start with prime objective number one to get one of our...

Re: Up Winter Hill Bah't hat. Home to Barnsley, Tues 7th May 8-0 clock

Yeah we have to be up for the fight again. If we do the same things, win the physical battles and are focussed then I have no worries. It’s entirely down to our attitude and focus. That’s what winning yesterday gives us.

Need to not panic, stay calm, resist what they do and then play from there.
