Re: Time to batter the fish wives? Grimsby (A) - Sat 17th Apr 12:30 KO

Grimsby need a minimum of 8 points from their final 6 games to stay up. In practice, I think they'll need 11 or 12. 4 of the games are against teams in the top 8 and 1 is v Port Vale who have won their last 6 on the bounce. Grimsby have won 2 of their last 22 games. I will not be putting any money ...

Surest sign yet that Grimsby have given up the ghost and are preparing for life in the National League. You don't limit your resources if you think there's any chance of staying up. 3-0.

Sue we'll be looking to win and the beauty of it is both Cheltenham and Cambridge have tough aways at Crawley and Newport respectively. we could actually be top by 5pm Saturday  Don't forget the mid-day kick offs Saturday , L.E.! And Crawley v Cheltenham is 6.30pm tomorrow (Friday) night.

Grimsby are down and they know it. Realistically, they can only overhaul Colchester who are 7 points ahead and who are at home for 4 of their remaining 5 fixtures. Grimsby have 6 games to play, but 4 are against teams in the top 8. Domed.

I suspect most others will be similar TD (though not necessarily). All games moved from 3pm Sat so they don't clash with Prince Philips's funeral.

Make it that what you will.

Yup, all games switched to 12:30pm, bar Colchester v Walsall, which is at 5:30pm. That's Essex for you.

Re: Remaining fixtures

Newport and Morcambe both had players sent off today. Every little helps! Does that mean Newport's lad will be banned against us? I think so. It was their left back, Mickey Demetriou (whoever he is!). He's played 90 mins of every game bar one this season, so hopefully his replacement is a bit rusty.

After examining my mother in laws stools... M&G.L would be my go to recommendation in the current climate. A safe dividend of 9% (dividend cover increasing year on year) A increase in assets under management (again year on year) Probably undervalued by at least 50% Better than putting your money in...

I've commenced drinking. Clockwork Tangerine. Sounds like ponce juice for Beardy types. (TM AT) Nasty beard stuff, you aren't wrong LE. Not as bad as Goose Island though. Worst beer I had the misfortune to drink (luckily a supplier freebie) in decades was Wooha. The only worse beer than that was wh...

That'll ding dong do me. Great away win. Mansfield getting a point or more at Tranny would top the day off quite nicely.

Re: Meat Dodgers v Fee Doidgers - FGR away, Sat 27/3 live on the tele @ 12pm

If ever a game called for a full stadium, this it I was thinking about this earlier as, in normal times, I'd have been at the game if I could get a ticket. The capacity is 5k, with about 1k for away supporters. I think we'd have sold out our end, even with a noon ko and on tv. Imagine being there t...

Re: Meat Dodgers v Fee Doidgers - FGR away, Sat 27/3 live on the tele @ 12pm

And so to look at FGR’s recent form. They’re 12th in the form table over the last 6 games, 11th over the last 8, 6th over the last 10, 7th over the last 12. (We’re top of each) They are the only team in the seven promotion slots whose PPG is lower over the last 8 games than over the season. (They’r...

Sad news. RIP Frank.

Very sad news. I was behind the goal when he scored *that* goal.
