Saw Declan John's on trial at a league two club. Would anyone be keen on a return?

Fitness likely be an issue but he knows the system

He'd be the only one!

Re: Between the lines. Home to Reading, Sat 21st Sept/ 3'oclock.

I saw this quote from Evatt in the BN earlier: "And I am not naïve to think that if we don’t win the next six games that things will change. Do I think we are capable of that? Absolutely, probably discounting Arsenal, I don’t think that is quite as realistic." Got me wondering whether he's been set ...

Re: Options for the next manager

Schumacher is a very interesting shout. I'm never sure about "brains of the operation" claims - as I've said, Lowe continued to improve PNE on a very sticky wicket – and Schumacher had a good off-field operation behind him (youth team, great loans), but he certainly did well there. Fair enough, he ...

Re: The ianevattable sacking

I see Alan Nixon had headlined his story as ‘Bolton make backroom boy scapegoat’ Which is exactly what’s happened. No doubt the Bolton news will continue to be too scared to do anything critical. This is an absolutely disgraceful decision and I want evatt out regardless of any results. He’s got to ...

Re: The ianevattable sacking

Just five games into the season, I find it difficult to see Evatt resigning or FV sacking him. My guess - and it's no more than that - is that he'll get at least another ten league games: i.e. a third of a season, which takes us to around mid-November.

Oh and to add to the 'daft places to follow the game' - I was watching text updates sat in the car on a campsite in Surrey. Bastard BBC thing put two updates out at once so I celebrated Thomo's "Penalty saved" thinking it was them.... worked out alright though, and a good boost for Southwood. Good ...

Word going around that our increased offer for Randall has been accepted.
£900k is the rumour.

Is he worth this? I genuinely have no idea.

And I genuinely have no idea who he is. 😃

Re: Rising in Wembley's Glow: A Bolton Wanderers Tale - Bolton vs Oxford. 18th May 2024, 4.15pm

Well, given that my birthday falls on the weekend of the final I've given myself a couple of weeks off to enjoy myself. I live over in Yorkshire, but there's a local old chap and his wife who "follow" Wanderers and have family in London and weren't going to go due to travel, so I'm taking them down...

Re: The Nostradamus file....

I do wonder however how much the timing of games impacts the opposition. Derby play Wednesday and Saturday, which means that they could be feeling further ahead than they actually are should they win on Wednesday. Points in the bag vs games in hand, innit. It all levels up a week tomorrow when we h...

We have a chance, but, realistically, will require 4 wins, including Pompey & Posh. That's a tough ask.

Professional performance today, get the job done three points in the bag and move on. The importance of next week cannot be underestimated, win and I truly fancy us to grab second place. If we do end up in the play offs , looking at the other teams, I fear no one and would be confident of promotion...

Is Collins the real deal? I must admit, I was completely oblivious to him before he signed. But, he seems to have settled and is now knocking 'em in.

2-0 now. We drop to 4th on GD if they win their other game in hand. Fortunately, we're going to shit 'em on the final day.
