Quote from Truewhite - I've only seen one who made it.
Love this last line - almost brought a tear to my eye Lads & lasses - I have a terrible memory for detail so really enjoyed reading this One thing I wont forget is meeting SKD just before kick off at Bayern Munich - my lad was BWFC masco...

Re: Long Time Away - would like views
Sorry Gary, it wasn't a critic of your info - it was a slap to my own head thinking 'God, is it that bad in my lovely old Bolton ' ( rose tinted specs ) Not very good with these icon things, me. Am undecided whether to do the rounds and reminisce about the Good Old Days around Bradshawgate an...

Re: Long Time Away - would like views
Not really a regular in town myself recently (having lived away for the last 24 years). However I wouldn't recommend the town centre for drinks OR food.
Long Time Away - would like views
Have been away from Bolton for 20 years and rarely been in town for a pint since. But I'll be over for Wolves game so me and missus and another couple are heading into town for possibly a meal and a few drinks. Any recommendation of where is decent to go? Looking for a place that is not going to be ...

Re: What are you eating and drinking tonight?
I've just been reading an article concerning reciprocity and online communities which really says that those who read forums without posting weaken the online community - so I had meatballs and spaghetti. and very nice it was too I feel my community has been incredibly strengthened somehow. Althoug...

Do you think Jack Wilshere would have made a difference - I do. And what kind of player is he? Technically gifted and on a par with the 'Eurogifted' or an out and out English 'up and at 'em' bulldog?

Re: fixture list
For myself I'm very much of the opinion that we really must take points from first game QPR - it is difficult to see us taking much from next three and at the start of the season you can easily get into that rut of losing/no points/no confidence and it just carries on... I hear what people are sayin...

Re: Can Wanderers Mackem pay? - Official Match Thread
i don't think Elmander playing is such a bad thing at the moment - he's playing for a job somewhere else so assume at least he's motivated - as long as he's not our midfield engine....

Re: Real vs Barca champions league
love this quote from Ronaldo - "Higuain's goal was good. Pique pushed me and I landed on Mascherano. He didn't used to fall to the ground in England, but he's picked up the bad habit of doing it here like everyone else." what a joker - i don't think he's picking up on the irony of HIM saying it

Re: Fulham v Bolton match thread
Put Taylor on instead of Petrov again ( who can be put out to pasture as far as i'm concerned ) Elmander up front - God Bless him he tries and tries in midfield but he's just a bit crap there and gives the ball way too much. Leaves us relying on 90 mins from Mark Davies. Give it a go. Can Owen keep ...

Re: Trotters take aim at The Gunners - Match Thread
Tho I have had several bouts of 'couldn't care less about them overpaid spineless cuts' during the week I will still be watching tomorrow from a pub in Galway. Totally rearranging my friends weekend to accommodate it. Like many, I just want to see some passion and effort and I am hoping that will go...

Re: BWFC Book of Hate (aka help a plastic understand)
Barnsley - for their fans waving £20 notes at us in the eighties (i think 80's?) thinking they were like yuppies or something ( yeah i suppose it had to be the eighties ) still - turn that around and i suppose you have someone posting hate BWFC on a Preston board when me and a couple of others who b...

Re: Nat Lofthouse statue
Considering the scale worked on I thinks that's very good John, very good indeed. I can see where you're going with it and, life-sized and viewed from below it should finish up excellent if your Fred Dibnah head is anything to go by. I truly hope you getthe commission if it gets agreed to. Keep up ...

Far from it... the smart bit anyway
