Re: Pies in administration

They sound more Bury than Bolton. I think the pandemic has saved them. Seem to be drifting under the EFL radar

Re: Best Ever 1-11

I doubt there will be that much difference on the best... 1. Branagan 2. Bruno 3. Charlie 4. Frandsen 5. Gudni 6. Youri 7. Stelios 8. Campo 9. Blake (96/97) 10. Okocha 11. Gardner Now the worst... 1. Ben ‘the further out they are the harder they are to see’ Amos 2. Lewis ‘running through quicksand’ ...

Re: Making HMS YouKnowWhat ship-shape: Winter 20/21 transfer thread

He’s suggesting he hasn’t trained much and isn’t fit...but he’s played twice in a week for scunthorpe! He’s fallen behind Greenidge in the pecking order and Delaney suits a two centre back system, perhaps Taft doesn’t. I dunno. What meant was i can see why the covid stuff meant he disappeared for a ...

Re: Making HMS YouKnowWhat ship-shape: Winter 20/21 transfer thread

Taft quotes make sense. There’s so much more to this season than any other.

Re: Pies in administration

Sounds like the ‘local’ hope Frampton has fallen through. I don’t think there’s any offers on the table now? At what point will the EFL pull the plug here?

Re: Making HMS YouKnowWhat ship-shape: Winter 20/21 transfer thread

Suspect this is one move that may get made permanent- lad wants to play football and I suspect moving north in a pandemic has took its toll.

Re: Half season predictions

We start second halves so poorly, it’s a mental thing I think.

What happened to Bright Amoateng?
Plays in whatever we call our youth team. I’m not even sure if they are in a league!

Re: Half season predictions

I’ve not gone sweaty Ken but if we haven’t sorted the goalkeeper issue out come 1st Feb I’ll be sweaty then! As much as i would like to see us cut teams open and look more fluid going forwards (I think Lee is a big part of this plan btw) I worry about us shipping soft goals more than I worry about u...

Re: Half season predictions

Three biggest recruitment problems for me (in this order): 1. Goalkeeper - he had feck all experience and to not sign a fit back up as well...idiocy. 2. Left (wing) back. Gordon had no league experience - the man was on set piece duty as well first game! Mascoll has never been fancied and to sign bo...

Re: Half season predictions

I’m just tempering my inner Ian Evatt. 1. I underestimated what we had signed and how long it takes a team to gel. 2. I probably underestimated the quality of the league (albeit that’s a hard one to analyse). I had seen some league two in the last couple of seasons and thought pretty poorly of it bu...

Half season predictions

Based on the wild predictions (thanks Ian) from pre season here’s a second chance. What we all thinking?

Yep Kioso back and he’s straight in that team. In a 433 he could do some damage I think, and when John’s fit he would give us a serious chance of playing 352.

Re: Will we be at the races? Cheltenham (h) Saturday 16 Jan 15:00 KO (GMT)

I think he gave the ball away a few times, definitely a few times more than Jones. But he was brave and kept going. As I said if he was ours and has come up through our youth system I’d be pretty bloody happy with that for a debut. As it is he isn’t and we need him to be ready now or it’s a bit poin...

Re: Will we be at the races? Cheltenham (h) Saturday 16 Jan 15:00 KO (GMT)

Agreed Gun. There’s a niggle at the back of my mind that Arthur’s not up to it but Delfs been proper gash recently so he’s due a chance. The Lincoln fans rate this lad we’ve signed so he might well be the answer, and Isgroves hardly me consistency as well. It’s good to have options.

Re: Will we be at the races? Cheltenham (h) Saturday 16 Jan 15:00 KO (GMT)

I think Arthur doesn’t start because he’s pretty inconsistent and his end products a bit hit and miss. He’s been injured as well to be fair - Tuesday was the first time he was fit enough for the bench I think. Having said that he would be in my team for the next game. This formation suits him a lot ...

Re: Will we be at the races? Cheltenham (h) Saturday 16 Jan 15:00 KO (GMT)

Different feeling today - we looked great first 45 and but for a novice full back gifting a corner, Delaney falling asleep and some atrocious goalkeeping it would have been a game where we would have plugged away and won. Not blown them away but the way we were going I thought we’d score one, until ...
