Re: No nonsense, Ronseal type of deal. Barnsley Away. 3rd May 2024 19.30pm

Im sure it’s nerves - they pressed us from the off (but it’s dropped off). Everyone thinking don’t make a feck up like we did last time here. Evatts applauded most of it. It can stay scrappy just make the most of those gaps when they open up later on. And don’t get any more bookings!

Poor that then from George. He’s doing a man to man job on Connell and we didn’t need a daft yellow. Worries me that.

Who was booked at the end? I thought it was Collins but Thomason seems to be the one reported?

We’ve also got a couple on yellow cards with a ref who’s looking like he won’t show any common sense - Maghoma might be best saved for the home game rather than risk a red.

Re: No nonsense, Ronseal type of deal. Barnsley Away. 3rd May 2024 19.30pm

I don’t think it’s anything other than nerves. Hoped the goal would settle us down - other than Connell and Kane this lot are crap. Be very disappointed if we can’t go back with a win here - but we’ve not deserved it yet. Some of the balls forward have been poor; but that move for the goal was super...

Locals aren’t happy in Barnsley. Early goal for us will really shut em up. Come on lads, into em from the off.

Haha! I still haven’t got an answer to my 18th May dilemma but will worry about that if I need to come next Tuesday! I think it will be close tonight. Draw most likely result.

Most goals per shots and still we are not happy at a lack of killer instinct. What an infuriating team!

Re: The cheer us up memory lane thread

13 May 2001 - 2-2 at West Brom first leg of the play offs. After the debacle of the year before and coming back from 2-0 down that was a big result.

Bookies have us as favourites for the playoffs, understandable given our position but we're doooooooooooomed.
I think we are the first title pick not the top twenty had wrong for a few years in league one as well…

First step, decent result Friday. Draw is fine!

Re: We Must Beat-a-borough - Away v Peterborough, Sat Apr 27th 12:30

We should know our best team for the next three matches by now - would be surprised if it doesn’t include Jones. He’s Evatts general on the pitch. But yeah I think my team swaps him with Iredale… Thomason is a concern as well. Big game - Barnsley tried to wind him up in both league games to get him ...
