Re: Race to the tape: 2024's League One promotion campaign

Hundred percent agree - Taylor looked half fit when he wasn’t injured, cramp after about an hour! Looked a good player but he’s not helped us much. I’m happy for Toal to be moved inside and Forester to play - if we don’t go up Santos might fancy a crack at championship anyway so it might be a good t...

If the players can stop this being another Chelsea, Leicester, Birmingham, Wolves…that would be nice.

Re: Race to the tape: 2024's League One promotion campaign

Ugh, not looking forward to the likelihood of a team celebrating something again at ours on Saturday. Be a double kick in the nuts this time given we should have been fighting for the title with them.

Haha I’d already booked a weekend away on play off final day, either assuming we were nailed on autos or play offs would be on the bank hol. Cat amongst the pigeons now!

There’s no bigger Bolton fan on here than him…hope he will be back.

Not seen anything of yesterday - cracking result. Love a chipped finish so that first goal is a thing of beauty.

You can guarantee they will come to our place and look like world beaters. Either way that’s another nail in the coffin for us.

Re: Dem Bones, Dem Bones, Dem Bare Bones....

He’s benefitting from a run in the team…not sure he would be playing in the play offs for me mind! But he’s proving himself a decent squad player, and he’s a local lad - what’s not to like?

Saw khumbeni scored for Morecambe on Friday - might be able to make some money on him.

Re: Not between the lines...V Reading at home Monday Apr 1st 3-0;clock

As said - control what we can control. Played with more freedom today so maybe taking the presssure off (if that was the intention pre match) worked. Hope Portsmouth get a result but acknowledge we’ll have a job on when we play them. Really pleased to see a hat trick! Always feels like they are mile...

Fair to say Aaron Collins enjoyed the water pistol theme!

Mate it’s not what I would have said - particularly when I begged for £750k to blow on Collins to ‘get us over the line’ and my bosses are listening, but I’m just trying to see his side!

I suppose the alternative view is he is taking the pressure off 3 lads who clearly aren’t delivering the goods.

Re: What's Ste Evan's Age? 61, I think. Stevenage away. 29/03/2024 - 3pm

There is a question for me as to whether our league one players are good enough to play the football demanded of them, to the level of consistency required. Champagne football with pub players or something like that? Dacres Cogley is a prime example, he puts the yards in, wins his battles, but his p...

Re: What's Ste Evan's Age? 61, I think. Stevenage away. 29/03/2024 - 3pm

We should be top two tango…not several points adrift of it. That’s the investment FV have made. The two teams above us have loads of injuries just like us…they just have better managers, probably. 5 games to go and we’ll see. Then hopefully 3 more. Playoffs are a massive opportunity - turn it round ...

Re: What's Ste Evan's Age? 61, I think. Stevenage away. 29/03/2024 - 3pm

I don’t think who comes in is for now. Evatt gets the play offs to achieve the aim. If he fails, it’s a fair discussion - who would have got this squad promoted? And, are they available / should we be looking? I like watching us when it’s good under Evatt - he’s been a good manager. This season will...

Santos is extremely lucky not to be getting serious pelters tonight. Captain material?
