Re: Cam v Croal a Punting Challenge: League 2, Cambridge v Bolton (A) Saturday October 24 14:00

I'm not really arsed about the phrase man up. It's clear on context he just meant he isn't playing in the reserves any more and needs to be strong. I personally don't like digging out individuals in public, even senior ones and especially kids. He said he'd just told him that same in private. Fine, ...

Crellin, Brockbank, Santos, Delaney, Kioso, Sarc, Tutte, Mascoll, Gnahua, Doyle, Delf is what I would do.

Crellin, Kioso, Santos, Delaney, Gordon, Comley, Sarc, Crawford, Hickman, Doyle, Delf is what I reckon he will do.

Re: A Barrow load of trouble. Barrow (A) League 2. 20/10/20 KO 7pm

Eh? If Baptiste steps up anyone in "that space" is offside, that's the point. There absolutely is pressure on the ball. There is (pace that dozy cnut) a line, and there is no-one eg goal side of their man looking to break that line. That one is pretty much all on Baptiste.

Re: A Barrow load of trouble. Barrow (A) League 2. 20/10/20 KO 7pm

The team selection was mental but at least there was a bit of bottle. How did the front 3 set up? Crawford in behind, or him and Tubbs wide? One thing I haven't quite been able to articulate is how a front two rather than three feck* us with the whole pressing lark. From reading only it'd be Mascoll...

Re: Oldham or fold em, but no full house in sight..

Not to forget that this season is the first time since Jan '19 we weren't in the relegation zone, and the first three weeks it was in goal difference and it's currently by a point.

Re: Oldham or fold em, but no full house in sight..

I think that's all fair enough and about where I am. As long as we get ourselves into midtable and out of danger by Jan then he gets probs ten games next season for me. He'd have had three windows (and a non-embargoed summer) by then. I think for anyone to even think about getting rid now is madness.

Re: Oldham or fold em, but no full house in sight..

The first thing to do is to ban passing sideways or back. Just ban it. We are a team that needs tempo. So do everything quickly. Failing that lump it diagonally 40 yards and into touch to get us up the pitch. Simplify the game hugely. Spend as much time in the oppositions half as possible putting b...

Re: Oldham or fold em, but no full house in sight..

I thought we were good for a point. Admittedly with a team who started the day bottom of the football league.

That was shite, but lots of us said before the season it would take time. He gets time for me.

Brocky? It's cos he'd been done.

Jam Butty's going off. Had to happen eventually.
Aye but Comley had stood him up and we had plenty back. No need.

Re: Oldham or fold em, but no full house in sight..

Sarcevic really is struggling here. Been awful hasn't he? Only the hapless Gordon has been worse. Crawford equally as dreadful. So lacking in confidence. What does Ronan have to do? New guy looks good. Otherwise we look good in the final third (but not getting there) and ropey af at the back. The w...
