Re: Not exactly a Derby. Away to The Rams, Sat 16th March 3-0'clock.

We're missing so many fixes that Evatt has put in place, CMG, Charles, Baxter, Johnston, N'lundulu, etc. that we've probably got the solution, it just isn't available. The tactics that we're playing now aren't dissimilar to the ones we were using with Baka and Bod up top where we seemed to score la...

I'm glad we're performance and process driven. That's how you get results. Played well, didn't win. Annoying, but sometimes that's how it goes. He's the best manager we've had since Sam for me. Close with Parky, but true. I'm enjoying the ride. Process and performance is fine but there is more to w...

I haven't updated the top 6 v top 6 game in a few weeks but I suspect our draw at Barnsley keeps us second in that (albeit pending). Everyone feels that way.

Just arrived in Cartmel. Rogan & Co tonight and then L'Enclume tomorrow. Proper bucket list stuff, been wanting to go for about 15 years.

Re: Race to the tape: 2024's League One promotion campaign

Bogey teams are a nonsense and pure statistical noise

Anything head-to-head beyond 5 years (at a push) is meaningless.

Negatives: terrible poll, and Jerome not getting the goal his performances have deserved.

Positives: everything else, including seeing a usual suspect from on here at the pub.

Can't split Sheehan and the front two for motm.

Please please kick on from here!

Re: This Exe is on fire: Exeter (A) Sat 9 Mar, 3pm

We keep conceding too many cheap goals. And failing to take chances to kill games off, I'm really not sure the system is number one issue at all right now. The players have to do their jobs.

And we need Bax back.

Two really good saves from Coleman yesterday but still a fairly big net negative.

Re: This Exe is on fire: Exeter (A) Sat 9 Mar, 3pm

I posted this after Blackpool: He won't rip it up, and probably rightly so. We were good against Cambridge, and good going forwards with 11 against Blackpool. The issues yesterday were individual mistakes rather than the shape. I would personally like to see us go 343 though. CMG has been the bright...

Re: Raising the Bar: Barnsley (A), Tue 5 Mar 7.45pm

Hadn't clocked until now that our first goal game from Sheehan getting leathered and bouncing up, taking a quick few kick playing a quick pass through three of them. Thomo -> Collins -> Vic -> Goal.

Lovely to see.

Re: Raising the Bar: Barnsley (A), Tue 5 Mar 7.45pm

I agree, though think Vic is playing well enough we don't need to take any risks with Dion.

I'm always worried when someone is "back" then not again. Minor setbacks seem to mean we'll see you once and then RIP.

Re: Raising the Bar: Barnsley (A), Tue 5 Mar 7.45pm

Yeah he was excellent second half. No surprise he's the one who finally found The Vic Run. Think he and Dion could be far too good for L1 defences.

Look at Thomo 30 seconds into this - dragging our celebrating players back to the centre because he wants to win the game . God I love that lad. https://twitter.com/OfficialBWFC/status/1765151803715338623 . And yes, I love this man. He's not perfect but I hope he keeps getting nearer. . https://twi...

《Sellotapes the Exeter tickets back together》   Iredale has to start next game. He’s been good coming on. Agree - I like him in our system, he passes well and that helps with the overloads. Not sure who to drop, like... I think we'd probably have to go with shunting Jones to RWB, wo...

I don't think it's on @-ing people to that kind of stuff, but otherwise it's more like pub chat, for me. It's public, but it's not broadcast to someone.

Think it's sensible for them not to search themselves. It's mean, but I don't think it's over a line.

Re: Raising the Bar: Barnsley (A), Tue 5 Mar 7.45pm

Ogbeta got a bit of a rest Saturday. Demps for Paris would be my only change, but I'd be fine unchanged too. Ogbeta really helps hide Toal's weakness on the ball too. First one we've had since Connor you can just give the ball too without having to work them space, which relies on a lot of moving pa...

Re: Raising the Bar: Barnsley (A), Tue 5 Mar 7.45pm

They make it incredibly transitional, the game at ours was mad, players on both sides cramping up within 70mins. If we match them physically I think we'll win. Might suit us a bit more to play at their gaff where we can absorb and then break a bit more, though I'm sure we'll try to control the game ...
