Re: Dem Bones, Dem Bones, Dem Bare Bones....
So Tutu out for 6 weeks with a knee injury. One Evatt described after the game as ‘nothing to worry about’. A meaningless and pointless cup game. Well done. The actual quote was as below. He was "hopeful" that it was nothing too serious. Some might say a 7 week absence, for a knee injury, is not to...

I can’t see anything above but there are rumours we are after Sylvester Jasper a former Fulham forward currently playing in the Portugese second division.

Re: Tooling up: The summer 2024 transfer thread
Iles's squad list, of whom he says one will definitely be loaned out (elsewhere he says the clubs are just deciding when to announce it), does NOT include Matheson. Does include Nlundulu, Iredale and Williams. He does say one loan exit expected today and the next line another loan exit likely. My m...

Re: Tooling up: The summer 2024 transfer thread
I had the pleasure of visiting Pittodrie, last weekend, watching Aberdeen v Kilmarnock. Aberdeen won 2-0 comfortably and it should have been at least 4-0. Kilmarnock had played in Denmark on the Thursday before and looked tired. Daniel Armstrong played for the first 57 minutes until being substitute...

Re: Welcome to Bolton. Wrexham (h), 18/08, 3pm
The game was summed up by the fact that in the closing minute the ball breaks to Arfield on half way for a chance of a break. He stops. Holds the ball. Lets Wrexham get everyone back behind the ball before deciding we should resume our sideways and backwards passing. If anything sums us up it’s tha...

Re: Welcome to Bolton. Wrexham (h), 18/08, 3pm
Also lots walking out saying nothing has changed its just like last season - again I'm sure this will be disputed and I'll be lying. In response to Malc I was in the West Upper near to the North stand, deffo plenty boos as it actually surprised me. I'm not for a second saying everyone was delighted...

Re: Welcome to Bolton. Wrexham (h), 18/08, 3pm
Just back from the game - nothing has changed at all tactically, lack of intensity and zero creativity - intensity and drive increased with Dempsey & Matete last 10 mins. I though Wrexham where poor, we should have hammered them in the 1st half - everything is too slow, walking football again but w...

Re: Full Steam Ahead to Orient (a) 10/08, 17:30
I think we almost played four at the back against Mansfield, when we had the ball at least. If we attacked down our right, Tutu went forward and Williams sat back. At the same time, all three centre halves shuffled across to the right so Forino was almost playing as a right back. The same happened i...

Re: Confidence-Builder or Unnecessary Distraction? Mansfield (h), 13/08, 19:45
Could Victor lead the line with Collins and Dion behind him maybe? I think that would be my personal preference but tonight, Victor moved to the right hand side with Charles in the middle. And how did that pan out? Could it be a three man set-up that would rattle teams if the three of them kept rot...

Re: Confidence-Builder or Unnecessary Distraction? Mansfield (h), 13/08, 19:45
My thoughts from tonight. Southwood looks an OK keeper and is good at kicking it long. Passing and distribution is pretty poor but will improve. He is short for a keeper. I thought Forino defended well but his passing was not the best at times. Osei-Tutu did well on the right and is much more attack...

Not that we were still after him but according to the Daily Record, Queens Park Rangers have agreed a deal to sign Brest's former Celtic (and Blackpool) winger Karamoko Dembele.

Re: 2024, hoodwink and bamboozle the public
Certainly a bit of a different reaction to that weirdo with a crossbow who killed the BBC fella's family. Saw very few posts trying to organise a riot, no "Rule Britannia," being sung in the streets. Just an unfortunate event. I am not defending anyone but there is a difference between the crossbow...

I'm struggling for Sam's conveyor belt of Matheson alikes that became first team regulars in a few months... Players who had lost their way elsewhere and weren’t playing….came here and were ace Like Mario Jardel, Blessong Kaku, Akin Bulent, David Thompson, Andy Campbell, Oscar Perez, Fabrice Fernan...

Re: Tonight's Football
Phil Foden is a super, special player. Has to start for England. You'd hope so, wouldn't you? Because he's also brilliantly flexible positionally, which would allow for in-game tweaks, let aloine in-tournament. I'm not Southgate (clearly) but I can't see how he leaves him out now, especially in a 4...

Re: To be continued. Home to Cheltenham, Tues Jan 23rd , 7-45.
Not a great game but a gritty performance. Certainly not one for the purists but three points all the same. I’m not sure if the conditions really came across on the stream but the wind was horrendous tonight. Just watching crisp packets swirling around the pitch and shirts being blown around the pla...
