The Oracle speaks. Should be an interesting week. We dont need Barton. He is neither a winger nor a forward nor a central defender.

Certainly the most intelligent with the ball. Hardly gives it away and very creative. Best player.. not yet.. I give that title to our captain.martin1877coywm wrote:Chungy is a big blow and in my opinion our best player.

No wonder OC wanted him before the World Cup. Now Benfica will up his transfer fee.

Moreno just banged in one for Spain U20 at the World Cup playing center forward. I wonder if his dad will allow him back?

Re: Official Gary Cahill transfer thread
No surprize to me. I always thought that was the reason why OC gave the big clubs 2 weeks to make up their minds with an offer that made sense to us. We would simply offer him more money with a new contract. Win - win for everybody. Cahill gets more money, more first team opportunities, playing in a...

Which 3 do you have in mind BWFCI ?BWFC_Insane wrote:I'm insulted. I think we could well beat QPR if we are properly focussed! And if Coyle pulls his finger out and gets the 3 we need in by then of course!

Re: Bolton in Florida
BWFCi in negativity shocker. I doubt if any of the local fans saw Bolton as potential relegation fodder. Do you really think any of our lot are going to risk injury by going all out in a steambath warm-up friendly? Do you evn see any of this as critical to how we fare in the Prem this seaso...

Re: TKIZ's impossibly brilliant all new Transfer Rumours thr
We need box to box midfielders if we play a 4-2-4 system. The only box to box midfielders (those who can defend, tackle, have an engine, pass and score goals) we currently have are Holden and Pratley. We need at least 1 more for cover. Muamba, Mavies, Gardner, do not fit that bill. Reo Coker does no...

Re: Bolton in Florida
Didn't expect to lose but not terribly disappointed as the focus is fitness. We definitely need a couple players who can put the ball in the net. With Elmander and Sturridge gone, we have nobody who is a direct goal threat. Only saw the second half where we missed at least 5 clear chances and hit th...

Re: Loan Watch 2010/11
From the little I saw of him against Man. U. researves, Eaves looked like a good player who can make the grade, and a ready made replacement for KD when he decides to concentrate on coaching.
A loan out next season would be a good move for both Eaves and BWFC.

Re: Official Gary Cahill transfer thread
OC is simply saying that 17 million is not the fee. Forget what is being said in the press. If you are serious, stop speculating and lets talk and work something out. Maybe I would take 13-14 million. He only has 1 year contract left with us for cying out loud, and unless he signs another one, we wi...

Re: Official Gary Cahill transfer thread
SWP is a far better player than Petrov, and we need 2 good players in every position. We desparately needed a Right Winger last season when Lee went away. We were left with Rodrigo who isn't a Right winger. SWP would be more than welcome, and he will get his fair share of games and keep Lee on his t...

Re: Official Gary Cahill transfer thread
I'd be surprized if we get more than 15 million for him. Thats a whole lot of money for a centre-half who was part of a team that leaked loads of goals during the season. A profit of 10 million is good business.

Re: Ricardo Gardner
He is the reason I "discovered" BWFC when he was signed by Colin Todd after the 1998 World Cup when he played left back for Jamaica as a 19 year old. Was a left winger at high school (Wolmers Boys) and played left Wing back for Jamaica at the world cup in a 3-5-2 formation. I will always remember th...
