Re: The T-W Open Golf Championship 2012

Not really available until September, I'm afraid, but such has been my lack of golf action this year that I'm itching to pick up the clubs again.

Norpig was the unofficial inflatable. Happy Wanderer was the official club one, which was basically a smiley football head on a cartoon body. It was shite.

Re: Farewell Jussi

Another great double save for me, against Charlton in the 2000 FA QF.

Be strange not to have him around, part of the Reebok furniture. A great goalie and servant - but time for club and player to move on.

Always did flap at corners a bit too much though...

Indeed. We're in the Championship folks. The days of even 'B list' signings are in the past, especially with the 'promising youngsters' policy.

Liverpool have apparently approached Martinez. Along with Mick McCarthy for Villa, rumour of the day!

"These are not excuses, they are reasons. During the season, we've had 15 trauma injuries, including four broken legs. I've been on the board for nearly 30 years and I've never seen a season where we've had such a horrendous injury list." If he thinks injuries are the only reason why the team's been...

If he leaves it'll be with no ill will from me. He quite clearly cared about our plight and was frustrated that we weren't getting out of it.

If you read the interview with him in the BN today there's a lot in there that suggests he's happy here, even if in the wrong league.

Re: Wishing you all the best

Wright-Phillips... Cisse... Zamora... you treat these perennial underachievers like they're the Barcelona all stars. How much did QPR spend to finish just one point ahead of us and to lose 6-1 on aggregate in our two games?

This is a good opportunity to say that the best of your memories will be corralled onto the front page for a retrospective article. Most memorable moments - even if not the greatest ones!

Give over you lot. Bad result but we're staying up. Better than QPR, better games than QPR and that'll be what gets us over the line.

Besides which the media crowing at our demise will be intolerable.
