Re: Today I'm angry about.....

Getting a trifle fed up of all the outlets refusing cash payments these days, I really think they are working to abolish it. There are some places that no way I would give card details to nor trust their contactless system to be 100% secure, surely they have to accept cash by law, isn't it legal te...

Re: This weeks RIP's........

R.I.P Big Jack Charlton. May God rest his soul. Not an easy man to like given the team he played for and his style of management but certainly someone to admire. Won loads as a player and adored by the supporters of the sides he managed. RIP wor Jack I watched him and his brother in the 1966 world ...

Re: This weeks RIP's........

Everton Weekes, last of the three W's and the only man to make five test centuries on the trot. He was run out on 90 going for the sixth. A true cricket legend. R.I.P. When Weekes told Jim Laker he was named after his father's favourite football team, Laker said: "You're lucky he wasn't a fan of We...

Re: General Chit Chat

I had an email/phone consultation last week. Sent a message with an uploaded pic of an insect bite. Mrs Enoch walked in as I was taking a picture of me farmers. I've had no luck convincing her it wasn't destined for Grindr. I'm with you on Cuomo, Monty. He may be self serving but for me he's pulled...

Re: General Chit Chat

No Virologist, me, but I'm far from convinced that we've reached stage three. Also, I remain fecking appalled by the laissez faire attitude being exhibited by so many in relation to social distancing. By way of 'new normal', by the way, I've just had my first ever GP appointment to be held over Sky...

Re: General Chit Chat

What are people doing about holidays this year? Debating booking a cottage in Wales on air b n b for a week this summer. Risky?! Trying to find and confirm the cancellation policies! I've travelled far and wide in the last 10 years since retirement. Now I only leave the house once a week for grocer...

Re: Today I'm happy about......

Kindergarten is the first year of grade school in Canada at around 4-5. Day care is what happens before that. So that’s our reception equivalent then! Grade school being primary school? What age do they go to secondary in Canada? It depends on the Province. In Quebec, primary school is grades K - 6...

Re: Today I'm happy about......

Youngest child (reception age) went back to school today. He had a good time, it wasn’t too weird for him (though he appeared to have watched a lot of tv which he could have done at home...) and his elder brother and sister were quite happy to see the back of him for a bit too! House was substantia...

Re: General Chit Chat

The only country on this planet that has a population both larger and denser than England is Bangladesh. They've only recorded 239 deaths due to COVID-19. Which clearly shows how shit we are. We all know that to be the case. The most densely populated country in the world is Monaco, who have record...

Thanks all. Its tough and certainly people are in awful, awful situations. I feel for her family and have to try and not think about it because it just makes me feel sick. Turns out she had a fairly serious health condition that I didn't know about and that she didn't realise would put her in a lot...

Re: Today I'm angry about.....

Pond life who are spitting at the police and paramedics claiming they have the virus! Why oh why can the police not just tazer, cuff them, chuck um in the van then make their miserable existence more miserable for a few hours down the station? If they are school kids drag the parents in and fine th...

Apples and oranges, Enoch?

Can we add...

Add as you wish, Monty. Though I'm not sure I caught your drift.
Just it was an odd table listing countries and one city. So I add more cities and one country, though I don't know what any of it means..
