Doug Holden, Bolton regular winger in the fifties and one of the 1953 F.A. Cup side, passed away today ages 90. Much loved and one of the "Holden, Moir, Lofthouse, Hassall and Langton" regular Bolton forward line I saw him play many times. . God Bless Dougie, Rest in Peace. He was the last BWFC pla...

I've commenced drinking. Clockwork Tangerine. Sounds like ponce juice for Beardy types. (TM AT) Nasty beard stuff, you aren't wrong LE. Not as bad as Goose Island though. Worst beer I had the misfortune to drink (luckily a supplier freebie) in decades was Wooha. The only worse beer than that was wh...

Well I did say possibly but his record stands up to scrutiny. His only losses were all controversial points defeats. He fought at a time when his weight division was packed full of world class fighters and he dominated them all. Unlike Ali, who everyone loved, he knew when to quit too. Well, Floyd ...

'Marvellous' Marvin Hagler. Real boxing hero of mine. Mine too. Possibly the GOAT. I thought he may have been older than 66. Some rumours on twitter were suggesting it was related to his covid jab. GOAT? Perhaps of his generation. He won 62 of 67 fights, but Sugar Ray Robinson win 132 fights until ...

I got the Pfizer today. As I anticipated we don't have to wait 12 weeks for the booster. My appointment for the booster is in 16 weeks at the end of June! Not quite as I anticipated! Pfizer recommends three weeks. Pathetic. It even makes Boris look good. Is it cold enough in Canada that they didn't...

Well, we may be catching up with the UK rollout a little. The wife and I get our first Covid jabs on Saturday. probably Pfizer but I'll take whatever is going. None of that Russian muck, mind! I don't think we have to wait 12 weeks for the booster. I guess I'll find out.

How time flies. Checking back in the Members list for something, I realised I've been a member of The Wanderer site for 16 years now. ( Bench and Keveh ran it back then) There are probably others who have been here longer than that, Bruce Rioja, Monty, Dujon etc, but it doesn't seem five minutes si...

I do hope that Dominion are able to take Guiliani, Powell and anyone else involved for defamation for a significant amount. I'm retired so every day is a holiday. However, there has been nothing much to do since February so this free time is all a bit boring... Always wondered why Brussels was so attractive to the t*ssers  Anyone? :conf: Not a scooby.
