Re: Remaining fixtures

Plus Exeter lost. Wonder what odds you'd have got on the five teams below us all losing? Puts a draw, however disappointing, into perspective

Re: Summer 2020 transfers

First day of training and Iles says it’s “expected that goalkeeper coach Matt Gilks will be present after completing the formalities of his contract with the club, and that the former Fleetwood man will also be registered as a player.” Also “Barnet defender Ricardo Santos, former Leicester and Camb...

Re: Concrete jungle where dreams are made of

Wholly agree with the observations on Wilkinson. Did very little all game. There was perhaps one glimpse in the second half where he showed a nice touch and something could have come from it, but otherwise he wasn't quick enough to run past people, good enough to run at people, or strong enough when...

Re: Abdoulaye's going t'Souk transfer thread

Sordell may be another matter. He's not going to get a salary similar to the one we gave him and I think his mentality may be to hang on. I guess another Southern based loan, part funded by us. Though I do thonk Pearce's belief in him is the possible career saver for him. Aye, that, and the occasio...

Re: By Eck- T' Huddersfield Match Thread

Really well taken goal. Mason worried them when he got on. Not sure what role was asked of Trotter, but whatever it was, he didn't fulfil it. Would like to see a replay of the Beckford penalty shout - looked reasonable at the time, and initially thought he'd given it. And the King's Head was/is a g...

Re: By Eck- T' Huddersfield Match Thread

Any pearls of wisdom with regard to parking, pre-match refreshments etc. please? If you like proper ale (like what I do) then get yourself to the King's Head near the railway station. I know nowt about parking as I've only been there by train. I'll second that plan. Went last year as a bit of a min...

Re: By Eck- T' Huddersfield Match Thread

Not a bad shout, as returning to Sheffield after, and would set me on the slippery slope to a couple in the Sheffield Tap... Much appreciated, thanks

Re: Dougie Freedman - Ten Months On

The 'chimp' thing is a gimmick, a way of trying to make something inherently complicated a bit more accessible. Naturally, it'll do that for some whilst switching others off.

Promise I'll stop bleating about it now...

Re: Dougie Freedman - Ten Months On

First, I should declare my interests - I'm a psychiatrist, a doctor, and a lifelong Wanderer. I studied at Sheffield, where Dr. Peters is (or was, not sure now...) the undergraduate Dean, as well as being a Consultant Psychiatrist of some repute. He is one reason why I and a number of colleagues wen...

Re: Pre Season Friendlies

Agree with the comments about Bolger - Certainly seemed to misjudge the path of the ball on a couple of occasions. Did improve a bit. Lots of short passing out from the back by Bogdan. (At least 2) hospital balls to Bogdan aside, I thought Mills did pretty well - Certainly the better at handling the...
