Re: Relegation - Boom or Bust?
I've probably said this somewhere else, but personally, I'm completely unfazed by the thought of relegation and indeed, would welcome it with open arms to some degree. New grounds to visit , a chance of actually winning a match, playing teams who haven't got £200 million worth of substitute and are...

Re: Soldier Of The White Army
Hi all, I'm still here and still alive and kicking. Serving in Hull at the moment. Been balancing a long distance relationship with a woman in Bolton, access to my daughter in Wales, a divorce, a constantly challenging job jailing every bad boy in the north of England (consider that I have four cell...

Re: Christmas Slump
The way we are playing and capable of playing, there's not a single team in the Prem we are unable to beat, and are getting better and better as the season goes on, so I can't see any immediate slump at all. It's amazing what confidence and self belief can do to a team and ours is swimming in it at...

Re: OH S**T
I can't remember when we ever had so many decent options. Good innit? Such is the case that we have no fear of having to say things like "I thought SKD did ok operating on the right, shame he wasn't on the end of his own crosses" anymore. Rodders for me, it's no coincidence that Coyle has been chan...

Re: Holden and Mavies?
I watched Holden against Newcastle, and while everyone seems to have had Elmander nailed down as MOTM, it was Holden for me. His performance reminded me of that of Beckham's against Greece. Not a foot wrong and covered every, single blade of grass. Putting him as the holding midfielder would deny hi...

Re: Christmas Slump
I'd rather think that other teams forums are doing the same and putting us down as 'a point would be great' The way we are playing and capable of playing, there's not a single team in the Prem we are unable to beat, and are getting better and better as the season goes on, so I can't see any immediat...

Holden's a long way to go before being compared to Scholes, but he's showing the porential to be. Taking nothing away from Holden at all because he's going to be a top player in the Premiership for us (or other) of that I've no doubt. Yet a great central midfield player of his ilk can only be great ...

Phil Thompson on Elmo's goal: "This goal, which is the second, is absolutely tremendous. He gets it, there's about four players round him. He has six touches of the ball, facing away from the goal at first, then turn, turn, turn, turn, turn, and goes past the players, then puts it in the far corner...

Re: Wearing a poppy?
Is everybody wearing a poppy this month? I've always bought a few every year, usually because I lose em or throw them in the wash with whichever shirt I was wearing that day, but this year I cant bring myself to buy one and I cant decide if i'm being irrational or not. I've always seen the poppy as...

Few comments albeit a little tardy. During the first 25 minutes or so I thought we were going to hammer them but we appeared to suffer a bout of Arsenalitis and pass well around the box without anyone remembering to actually shoot. The game plan of pressing hard up front and getting back to cover t...

The opening scene to Jaws still gets me. So brilliantly shot and acted. I feel the woman's shock, fear and hopeless panic everytime, as she realises she's being eaten and has no chance of ever making it to shore. Others to consider: The end of Milla Jovovich in The Messenger A recent one were a guy ...
