Re: New Signings
Although I agree Boris how much protection do our defenders need? They had 3 last game and couldn't manage a shut out. Even without Ream, Spearing and Medo are probably the two best DM in the game. Whilst Dougie hasn't made it much easier on himself the buck stops with the players and the players al...

Re: Tuesday's Trip to Tranmere
He has to be dropped now, he HAS to. Only excuse otherwise is if Wheater is injured for any measure. Doesn't read the game at all and too slow to compensate. All our CB's have mistakes in 'em from what I've seen... who do you replace him with? Baptiste and shove Mears out right. Not ideal but short...

edit: Mears apparently doing well on the right, Dougie has to pull Baptiste further in.

Re: New Signings
From the brief cameos so far I think having Eagles/Moritz/Hall behind any of our strikers could guarantee us goals. Not as sold as Dougie with Ngog behind the striker but he's yet to be 100% n all this summer so I'll trust our managers judgement.
I just hope they all get "fit" fast..

Re: The "Nothing to see here"Transfer thread
So? Overrated, always has been. He had a good few weeks, maybe month or two, under Coyle and that was it. Lot of skill, but rarely any end product. I don't know about overrated. He cost £8M. His replacements in NGog and Sordell cost £7M. Sordell is now warming Charltons bench. NGog is well NGog. I'...

Re: The "Nothing to see here"Transfer thread
Norwich will have only taken him as a short term replacement now Hooper is out injured. Great short term move imo just not the franchise star we all hoped.

Re: The "Nothing to see here"Transfer thread
Bolger was woeful against Rotherham. I mean the team as a whole were pretty uninspiring but he was truly dire. Still as far as Wheater/Knight are concerned how much longer can we flog a dead horse? I feel Freedman's comments about Baptiste being no more than a RB was made on the assumption we'd have...

Re: Club Rebranding
How is giving away food that would otherwise be going in the bins a pathetic idea??
The only issue with the idea, if any, is that I imagine there's a lot of people more in need of it then people coming out of a football match but it really is a trivial matter.

Re: Stuff what winds me up at away days.
Smoke Bombs. Now whilst I sometimes find them a pleasing novelty, and can often add to the atmosphere a little at the right moments, having 3 or 4 go off every fifteen minutes (when the side was playing dire anyway) at the Burnley game was a tad too far. Plus I remember some lad a few throws in fron...

No mention of 'Medo' yet? It's Med-o! Med-o, Med-o, Med-o, as in his name Mo-ham-med. Flippin' commentators are doing my head in with that. But then, as mentioned on our latest podcast (shameless plug: http://www.themeninwhite.com/blog/podcast-48-the-new-season-hit-me-odelusi-baby-one-more-time/ ) ...

Perhaps look for some cb/lb cover on loan? I'm still convinced Mills will be gone before the windows out.plymouth wanderer wrote:Think that's gonna be our lot (hoping for Dawson) Eddie's backed Dougie all the way IMO

Re: The "Nothing to see here"Transfer thread
Rumours here across that Pennines that are upsetting the Elland Road faithful is that Middlesborough are in for their striker Ross McCormack. Not that the move has much to do with us directly but the funds generated by the move could pay for the transfer of Matt Mills, be it a loan deal or something...

No, but all DSB means is we played with four attack minded players, 3 who seem encouraged to inter change behind the striker.
