Re: Elmander signs for Galatasaray
I've got two opinions about this as half of me wishes him good riddance and then half of me thinks he's got enormous potential that Owen could have made the most about Exactly this. This season is proof of Coyle being able to get the best out of him. But for me he's not nearly consistent enough. At...

Re: TheOwen Coyle Myth? Fair analysis from a blog
I think the central thrust of the article - that the idea we've transformed into a free-flowing attacking football, is a myth - is entirely correct. I still couldn't care less. I've never found us scoring from a long hoof up field any less entertaining than any other type of goal. Infact, the entir...

Re: Does the club need an anthem?
I think it needs to be a relatively old song, more people will know it that way. I think Houghton Weavers is wayyyy to dated and complicated. It has to be something that will work on the terraces. It has to be Ben E. King - Stand By Me. Simple and would definitely fit the terrace criteria of nto bei...

Re: Does the club need an anthem?
Clubs develop anthems simply by repetition over a long time. If they're going to do it, pick a song and stick with it for more than a couple of home games. It'll catch on sooner or later, even if people moan in the short term. | Theres no magic formula. As long as it isn't that 'just cant get enoug...

Re: Does the club need an anthem?
depends what you define as an anthem. The way Stoke picked up Delilah and is such a big part of their matchday persona, and likewise with City and Blue Moon and those lovely big club people at West Ham who will now be taking their bubble blowing to the Championship... If that's the sort of identity...

My suggestion would be Ben E. King - Stand By Me http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vbg7YoXiKn0

Does the club need an anthem?
Just wanted to see what people feel about an anthem. There's a lot of talk about the lack of atmosphere at the club, would an anthem change this? And does anyone have an suggestions as to what that anthem should be?

Re: TKIZ's impossibly brilliant all new Transfer Rumours thr
At a better club I could see him being a great player. I know 2 Spammers. One reckons he's worth 2-2.5mil (realistic and accurate imo) and the other thinks more like 5milTurkish Trotter wrote:I see Ba has scored for WHU. Could do worse !!

Re: TKIZ's impossibly brilliant all new Transfer Rumours thr
We wont get the likes of Noble and NZogbia, they'd cost too much, more likely players like McCann, Pratley and others from championship and abroad. The only proven premiership players we will get are out of contract free transfers. And unless we spend this summer we're going to end up in the same s...

Don't know about Noble but I'd take Ba.TKIZ! wrote:Mark Noble? Would be available if Spammers go down
Does anyone rate their young forward Zavon Hines? He hasn't played much but looked good when I've seen him. The one Spammer I know says he's never got the chance because they brought in Ba and Obinna

I think Gardner played as well as Elmander could of. Arguably better.Turkish Trotter wrote:Where was Elmander today ?? In Turkey talking to Galataseray ??

Re: Worst Away record in League
I don't think 4-4-2 helps. We're playing a style of football now (by that i mean November era) which is much more dynamic and 4-4-2 just doesn't cut it for me.
