Re: What are you watching tonight?
No, but thanks might see if I can get ahold of it someplace. Cheers LL.Lofthouse Lower wrote:Have you seen 'Smartest Guys in the Room' about Enron? That's along similar lines and is better than 'Inside Job' IMO
Seen all the Michael Moore films, they are ok, but he does annoy me after a while.

Re: Wanderers vs The Villa
Bent has a knack of scoring against us and they have good pace on the wings with Downing and Young. Our best option is probably down the middle where Petrov and Reo-Coker/Pires haven't exactly got explosive pace and Pires might not want to get stuck in, so if we can dominate the midfield with Mavies...

Re: What are you watching tonight?
Watched 'Inside Job' last night - it won the Oscar for best documentary film. Its about the economic crisis, its split in 5 parts; Part I How We Got Here (Beginning from the Reagan era up to the Bush presidency, initial part on Iceland), Part II the Bubble (2000-2007), Part III The Crisis (2008), Pa...

I'd encourage Abramovich to sack off Chelsea and sink millions into Breightmet United.......
Its only round the corner so walking to matches would be brilliant......

Re: What are you watching tonight?
Just watched Taken, with Liam Neeson. The action is very engaging but there isn't a single twist or unexpected event in the whole film and the ending is as predictable as you like. I've seen a lot worse though. 3/5. Its a decent enough film but the one annoying point is where Neeson is captured aft...

Re: Out of the mouths of babes ...
We were at my brother's house over Xmas, his 6 year old daughter was sat on the floor in front of us and we were talking about my brother and how he was owed money from a work colleague, anyways my niece turned around in the middle of the conversation and blurted out 'I'm very promiscuous’ to which ...

Re: Whites vs Newcastle
As Seanworth pointed out they are a real Jekyll & Hyde club this season beating Liverpool comfortably and then losing to Blackburn. They seem to have their best results when they get an early lead so I think if we can keep them quiet first 15-20mins we will have a good chance of getting all three po...

Christ i'm hungover....... I am very happy!!!! thought everything from Bolton last night was fantastic, the fans, the players and Mr Coyle's team selection and tactics. I am a big believer that confidence at the top level is one of the most important attributes a player can have, and after two victo...

Re: ODI world cup...
On the positives Prior showed what he can do batting in his right position. Still too many out of touch in the top order though going into a major tournament for us to be considered amongst the favourites. Still, anything is better than a Luke Wright in there. Prior is still abit hit and miss glad ...

Re: FA Cup fourth round replay: Wigan v Bolton
Not particularly optimistic about tonght tbh, i'm expecting a significantly weaker XI and we haven't exactly got the greatest record at Wiggin in recently years......think are only chance is via extra time / penalties.

Re: One space or two...........
one after a comma and two after a full stop, thats on a word processor. Of course. I understand two spaces were used on typewriters to provide a clear break between the end and start of a sentence, and it seems to have carried on and is now also used on computers etc, however I think both versions ...

£ 15 per second ? No thanks £75 per second so roughly £750 per ticket....... I didn't read the article, just saw the £150 above... The £150 is the maximum I would pay for a ticket to watch the event, because i'd imagine it would cost another £300+ to get to London, stay over, come back etc so not w...
