Re: Season Tickets 18/19
I just read Kenny's log-in. In it he states that Lifeline members receive a 5% discount against the price of their season ticket. I didn't know this. Is the discount something I have to apply for (I auto-renew my ST) or do they factor it in? Anyone? Automatically taken off the total for me, Bruce. ...

Re: Today I'm angry about.....
Today my best friends 42yr old son was killed in Bolton. Its been a traumatic day. Two kids left without their dad, two parents lose their only son. And now, some 12hrs later, I find that some absolute disgusting c*nt filmed him whilst he was in his car dying immediately after the collision and the ...

Re: Sky Blue Sinking - Coventry (H) 22/11
I seem to recall my first ever night match was against Coventry in a cup game in 75 (So either I was 8 or I'd just turned 9 :) ) We lost either 3-0 or 3-1. Tommy Hutchinson gave us a right old runaround. I was at that game. I was on my honeymoon and up in Newton Stewart but at about 3pm decided to ...

A heavily pregnant woman calls her husband for help.
"My waters have broke," she said.
"Where are you ringing from?" he asks.
"From my knees to my ankles."

Re: What are you watching tonight?
Got the chance to see (against my better judgement) the new Jack Reacher film. I'd advise not to bother for what it's worth. Even ignoring the total mis-match of Tom Crusie, it's just a hotchpotch of ideas/plot clips from Jason Bourne and James Bond films. By buying up the rights to appear in all f...

Re: the Photo thread
Clapton. My impressionist version of your cracking photo is up in the painting thread. I made a few changes of view, shortened the perspective and chopped it down some etc but stayed with your main theme. Thanks again for the pic. ps, a friend of mine was asking about painting/photography combined ...

Re: The Painting Thread... (as opposed to art debate)
^ ah, yes. I see what you mean. I like that a lot. The Tuscany trip we have just come back off was a painting holiday for Mrs C, booked back in January, but the adverse weather curtailed her activities somewhat. Whilst it was great for me wandering around clicking the shutter it wasn't quite so much...

Re: the Photo thread
Just come back from Tuscany. I was bloomin' freezing for five days of the seven and raining heavily for two days. We had a six hour storm on Friday night! I had a great time though and spent the entire week wandering around Volterra, San Gimignano, Gambassi and Siena taking about 800 photographs. I ...

^ souvenir cup that I have kept all these years celebrating that 1973 season. What would we give for a team such as that now, and how far away do we seem this particular morning from emulating their achievement?

I had an hour over the M60 at Stockport a couple of nights back. I love this time of year for photography and had this location in mind for most of this year. Light trails under the viaduct leading to the Pyramid. The emergency services joining in the light show too. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.co...

Re: What are you reading tonight?
I've seen stage productions previously but I have finally got around to reading Lee Harpers 'To Kill a Mockingbird.' I'm finding it a really difficult read dealing with the archaic language and casual and deeply rooted racism of Alabama. It is certainly gripping though, but I can't see myself going ...
