Re: The athletics/running thread
Shaved 13 seconds off my PB with a time of 26.34. Had enough in the tank for a Mo Farah-esque kick at the end to break into the top 100 for the first time (presumably due to a lower turn out but it definitely still counts) You must have been focusing on your PB when you blanked my shout of 'Go on B...

Yeah, they weren't there this morning.Bruce Rioja wrote:Where are we doing tomorrow, Chaps?
EDIT: The bunch of Pikeys that forced the postponement of Wednesday's Decathlon 5K have now left LHP apparently.
I'll probably be at Leverhulme again tomorrow.

Re: Th'olympics 2016
That article is bobbins! It seems to raise three arguments, one made twice, in order: 1) it still wouldn't let everyone compete in the Olympics - well duh, but so? Not everyone can compete now. 2) health - yeah, fair enough, might have led with that. 3) after a period of unpredictability results wo...

Re: Th'olympics 2016
Is "we should permit performance enhancing drugs" line a serious one Pru ? It's been argued by people before I guess. Ha, not really, though it would be a laugh. Could have a go at making a semi-serious argument that people have so little faith in athletics and doing these days that we sort of assu...

Re: For new signings, ask the man from the Pru
Anyone change their mind on Vela after last nights performance? Apparently played well. An exception or a sign of things to come? We'll see. But I'm not having it that he's talentless or washed up. Mixed up by constant changes and maybe lost some verve but I do feel PP is the type of man to work on...

Re: Bristol Rovers (a) match thread 17/08/16
Why are so many people photographing/filming a corner? dunno - I think it is a desire to capture the moment we finally score from a corner - in case people don't believe it actually happened! :D incidentally - next to the gazebo there - that's a stand stolen from a racecourse, surely? :D It's a goo...

Re: The Politics Thread
I see Jezza had no idea who Ant and Dec were, when asked earlier. I'm not sure whether to be appalled that he's so far out of touch, or impressed that he's managed to avoid the feckers. is it tv presenters that we want our politicians to be in touch with - or the wider political issues affecting so...

Today I am happy to enjoy choosing my dream house in Barcelona! Finally we officially decided to buy our own property. I know there is a long way ahead but I am optimistic about it! Do you have any advise for a first buyer? I am using https://tranio.com/spain/catalonia/barcelona/ but surely there a...

Re: Th'olympics 2016
I feel like I've got an Olympics hangover. Stayed up to watch the athletics then watched pretty much everything from about 6pm last night. Really got into the gymnastics, cheering whenever one of the others fecked up a landing. The Golf was tense. The cycling a formality but glad Jason Kenny won it....

20km this morning in 2h8m14s, lost half a stone in water weight then get to work to find there were no jam donuts at the Friday breakfast. Livid! Anyone else at Leverhulme tomorrow? how anyone can run 20km - and then go to work - is beyond me! (especially with no jam donuts!) Good effort!! :oyea: I...
