Re: FA Cup Quarter Final - Away Spurs/Stevenage
Thank God. Sky are now reporting he is in a stable condition. The worst thing I've ever seen on a football pitch was him going down and being rolled over by the medics. Can only imagine what his family must have been going through these past few hours. Heartbreaking. The genuine and sincere outpouri...

Re: Adam Bogdan
Agree with most that has been said, deserves to stay in net for now. I also think we might benefit in the short-term from the general media/fans/perhaps even opposition player opinion that he's some sort of clutz goalkeeper. I don't know whether the Bellamy shoot on sight policy was just Bellamy bei...

A 5ft6 18 year old? FINALLY, we're signing someone I reckon I could take in a fight. :D Nah, I've never seen the lad play, doubt many Bolton fans can claim to have, but it sounds like nice ambition all the same and he does look quite good on that youtube video. Probably don't really have much chance...

I suppose a replay is a fair reward for Macclesfield for how well they've played and a fair punishment for us for how shite we've been.

Well played Stanley. This Josh Cryer has apparently deleted all his online accounts now, bit late! Fool.

Re: Jordan Rhodes
Two words: Jermaine. Beckford. Not saying Jordan Rhodes doesn't look like a potentially very good player and I'm not saying that he wouldn't cut it as a Premier League striker but I take it Huddersfield were on Sky or something tonight because the hype (for someone who was already having a great sea...

Re: Official Gary Cahill transfer thread
If the rumours are true and they're only offering him 50k a week then I'm not surprised there has been a hold up- that can't be a world of difference to what he's on here: 5-10k-ish. Doubt he's expecting six figures, but I reckon he has every right to shoot for between 60-80k given the massive jump ...

Re: Bolton v Wolves: The biggest match of the season, again
Solid half and a superb goal by Ricketts.
As others have said, Ngog has been decent too today.
Shame that elsewhere Wigan are winning and Blackburn have already won. Vital for us to take 3pts today.

JME can pass and hold onto the ball, ie different of every other wanker we have in midfield. Don't think we'd have a chance of Lukaku either way, with Torres being crap, Sturridge being played as a winger and Drogba and Kalou away on African Nations Cup duty, Lukaku will be on the bench for Chelsea ...

Re: No time to make crap puns - Bolton v Newcastle, 26 Dec
I'd have pretty much all of their team ahead of ours, man for man. Although if we'd have taken 35M for Elmander rather than nowt, we might have been able to assemble a decent team too.
Pardew is a better manager than Coyle though, I wanted Pardew at Bolton after we sacked Big Sam...

Any Stephen King fans on here?
I'm not a big reader by any means but I've probably read over half of his novels and short stories.

"They turned down big money in the summer" ... "They’ll receive around £7m for their star man, which isn’t much"
He makes some points but 8M is 'big money' but 7M 'isn't much'???

Re: Official Gary Cahill transfer thread
I'm sure making silly public valuations like 25-30m 18 months ago helped... We've got more than a full team out of contract in the summer, we're letting an England regular go for less than 8m, we let our record signing leave on a free, we've let other commodities go for free in the past like Ben Hai...

Re: Official Gary Cahill transfer thread
Go on, I'll bite... 1- Financial insecurity or not, I fail to understand this policy we've had of offering players 3 years maximum- (most prevelant in the JE case, you don't break your club record fee then offer the bloke only 3 years)- and then break that unspoken but quite obvious pattern to give ...

Re: Official Gary Cahill transfer thread
So nowhere near the 17 million then  I wonder how Gartside feels now. No two ways about it, Bolton clearly miscalculated how much other teams wanted Cahill and expected bidding war in the summer. He's nowhere near Koscielny anyway. I remember people in here saying he will be worth keeping as h...

Re: Official Gary Cahill transfer thread
Deal sorted for 5M apparently.
I'm sure some will complain but seems a decent price to me. Our own fault for not handling his contract properly.
Take the money and buy someone who wants to be here rather than someone who is coasting.

Re: No time to make crap puns - Bolton v Newcastle, 26 Dec
No way should we change to a 4-5-1, need to go and attack a weak Newcastle backline. Hope Ngog is fit, need him to run at Perch and Coloccini. He's improved since I'm sure, but Elmander vs Colocinni last year was the biggest one-to-one mismatch (in our favour) that I've ever watched live. He had him...

He's picked the same XI I would bar Eagles > M.Davies
No complaints from me. Definitely gone to win. COYWM.
