ae:) " Bring me Sunshine"....as the song goes"..

Hope springs eternal.. As ever, I'm predicting a win and not listening to negatives. I don't care one about Morecambe except as a youthful memory, so COME ON YOU WHITES......

Re: Remaining fixtures

Ruling out Morecambe would certainly not be Wise..! Wahey! For me, we have to think winning . Our defence has been severely tested, but can our banjo marksmen finally find the range and score the goals. This surely applies to our last three games..are Morecambe's wins due to great play or poo...

Re: A Borderline affair.Bolton v Carlisle, Home 20-04-21. 1900..

In terms of importance, that's an immense result. We're in a league full of teams not much difference to us, ( a crazy league at times) we beat them any way we can and, like tonight, the chasers are always the hungriest. We got the lead, defended it and kept the points. Little else matters right now...

Re: A Borderline affair.Bolton v Carlisle, Home 20-04-21. 1900..

I honestly can't see us winning tonight but I very much hope that I'm wrong - we normally play ok on Tuesday nights, but I'm still not confident that they have it in them to raise their game under a bit of pressure. Not even considering we've got to third top from nowhere ? I'd argue that mate. The...

Re: A Borderline affair.Bolton v Carlisle, Home 20-04-21. 1900..

From B.N: " Carlisle also head down the M6 having not won at Bolton in 44 years." This is just the sort of fact that whilst true, puts wrong priorities in ours and players heads. The only thing that really matters is the next game, not a history of past glories. How many of those years have we actua...

I know; let's go in as underdogs and pretend Carlisle are Red Star Belgrade, or Athletico Madrid or somebody. Let's be satisfied with a one goal win and the points. That way we may just not be surprised when we don't score eight or nine past lowly Carlisle. A win's a win, after all.

A Borderline affair.Bolton v Carlisle, Home 20-04-21. 1900..

The Cumbrians, citizens of Carlisle (nicknamed the Border Town, it being only 10 miles short of Scotland) are our next quest on the road to glory. Let's hope we don't make a right "haggis" of this one. Air your views at will....

Re: Top 5 of all time...

Copied over from "What are you watching tonight?"thread. Perhaps the next top 5 category for me (and Tango) should be period dramas. Currently enjoying Poldark here. You'd be amazed at how little T.V I actually watch these days G.G. I got fed up with Silent Witness way back, and Line of Duty is abou...

Re: This weeks RIP's........

Got Prince P’s funeral on in the background. Not a royalist particularly but the old guy served his country well in war time and pretty much gave up massive chunks of his life to support the queen. Sad for her. She’s a good old stick even if some of the rest of her family leave a little to be desir...

Re: Time to batter the fish wives? Grimsby (A) - Sat 17th Apr 12:30 KO

I don't care how well Grimsby played & fought today and that they deserved the win, they are bottom of the league for a reason i.e. they are the worst team in the division, but they outplayed & outfought us and wanted it more than our players. A case of every dog having its day maybe? If we played ...

Re: Time to batter the fish wives? Grimsby (A) - Sat 17th Apr 12:30 KO

We lost a game after winning a lot; one battle not the war. Not world's end and still all to play for. Evatt needs to get the belief back in the lads, oh, and get some shooting practise in before Tuesday. This result will give those around us fresh heart. We can still do this COME ON YOU WHITES , ge...
