Re: The Joy of (Twenty-)Sixth? Rovers / Boxing Day
A win in our next game and we could move up to 9th. I'm delighted with how things are going at the moment, though gutted I couldn't be at the Macron today! Sounded like a great match.

Re: Heskey -SSN
As others have said, if Lennon has looked at him in training and the under 21s match and thinks he has something to offer, I'm happy to go along with that. Heskey was always unfairly criticised during his peak because he wasn't good enough for England yet got picked regardless, but he wasn't a bad p...

Re: A Win Away? Millwall / Friday 19th
I've been impressed with our defending in the past few games and we sounded solid enough again tonight. Individual errors will always happen but structurally, we're so much better than we were under Freedman with the constant deep lines he insisted on and refusal to close the opposition down. It's n...

Re: Bijou Bob's Bargain Basement Buys - Jan transfer thread
Heskey was alright the last time I saw him in the Premier League. He's not a goalscorer but he gets more stick than he deserves because he was the epitome of everything that was frustrating about the England national team for a period, but he's not a bad player. I don't know what he's been like sinc...

Re: The KNIGHT-mare Reloaded - Ipswich home
The substitutions we made had a big effect on our performance. Clayton going off was a problem and if Eidur was match fit, he'd have been an ideal replacement, but bringing on Spearing killed our momentum and they took over as being the better side. We didn't get going again, and were lucky to be 0-...

Re: The KNIGHT-mare Reloaded - Ipswich home
The ball just isn't sticking up front. Our midfield isn't doing enough to protect the defence either, so we're having to put up with lots of pressure. I'm impressed with us defensively but we need more up front and since Clayton went off, we've been the lesser team. His departure made a big differen...

Clayton getting stretchered off. That's a real shame.

Re: The KNIGHT-mare Reloaded - Ipswich home
Two good chances for us. The first was for Clayton after a brilliant through ball from Ream. He cut back nicely but had a fairly weak shot blocked by their defender just outside the 6 yard box. The second chance was after Feeney cross which ended up working it's way through several players to Ream, ...

Re: F*ck these Royals c*nt's arses - Reading (A) 06/12/14
I thought we played well for lots of the game and it's nice to get another clean sheet, so no real complaints for me. I think this is the sort of game where we miss Mark Davies though but there are still lots of positives on display. I like our defence under Lennon, I think we look pretty secure at ...

Re: Tits Up! - 'Uddersfield (H) 29/11/2014
Not sure why Pratley's picking up plaudits from yesterday. His distribution was no less than utterly appalling. I'm delighted with a 'dug-out' victory but one or two players were poor. As has been mentioned, young Clayton needs to involve / make himself available more often, and I didn't even reali...

Re: Tits Up! - 'Uddersfield (H) 29/11/2014
That was a really good performance, both going forward and defensively. We still have an issue creating good chances, particularly now that Mark Davies is out, but as a team, we're definitely improving. Up to 18th in the league now, 3 points clear of the relegation zone and just 10 points away from ...

Get in! I've been impressed with our passing in this game and i think we deserve the 3 points, so hopefully we can hold onto our lead.

Re: Rumour has it.............
Chungy would go for a decent fee but he's worth more to us than any realistic amount we could get for him. Now we have a good manager in charge, Gartside and Davies should be thinking up and if they are doing, they'll know that they can't get rid of our best players to achieve that. His sale would h...

Re: Mavies
I'm really disappointed about this news. Our season was just starting to look really positive and then we lose a key player, one who is irreplaceable for us, either from the rest of the squad or in the transfer window. It's disappointing. I feel for Davies too, of course, but this injury is a signif...

Re: Rumour has it.............
I like the way Beckford was dealt with by Lennon. Given a few chances, which didn't do down great with Bolton fans who knew was Beckford was like but Lennon was fair in giving him a chance, but as soon as he realised he wasn't up to the job, was dropped and then we got rid. I don't think he's got an...

Re: Rumour has it.............
Coyle is definitely a better manager than Freedman. With a good defensive coach, I think Coyle could easily do a job for most Championship clubs whereas I don't see much hope in Freedman at all. At least Coyle's teams have something going for them, they're good going forward, and his weaknesses coul...

Re: Oh I do like to be above the....... - Blackpool (A) 22/1
Yeah, I'd play the same team as Wigan too. It's an attacking team, probably more suited to playing at home, but Blackpool are so poor, I don't think we should show them respect with our selection. I fancy us to win 3-0, maybe more if the players are up for it.

Re: Lennon announced on Offish site
Just looking at our fixtures, I really fancy us to start putting together a lot of points over the next month or so. The old point about there being 'no easy games in the Championship' is true but we have a lot of favourable fixtures coming up. Our next game is at Blackpool, who are terrible and we ...

Re: Rumour has it.............
Looking at the team last night, where do we really need improvement? A goalscoring striker would be nice but it'd mean a change in system or dropping Davies, neither of which I think should happen unless we got a really top quality player. Maybe a left winger? I'm not sure, really. I think this squa...
