Re: Blunting the Blades and walking on the Wilder side? BWFC v Sheffield Utd 25/8/18

Both sides of the Parkinson argument have some validity. The football is dreadful and whilst that doesn't matter to me, it's not really effective and that is what matters, and even though you can defend him by saying the budget is low, they can still be better organised than they are. Even in League...

Re: Would it have been better/cheaper to redevelop Burnden P

How many more fans do you think we'd get if we still played near the town centre? Transport to the Macron is awful and I don't think people can be bothered with the trek there each week whereas town is easy and quick to get to. Surely we'd average at least 1,000 or so more each week? That's a huge a...

Last season was a mess and our performances on the pitch were influenced by everything off it, including a very divisive manager. There was enough quality in the squad to stay up. As for this season, we are missing Mark Davies badly. The team should probably be set up better but we are lacking a ski...

Re: Plan B

I'm not really sure how much you can look into the tactics at this point because I still think we're a vulnerable team that is playing well short of our potential. The players still aren't showing much confidence and until they do, we aren't going to get the best out of them which is why I'm so plea...

Re: Which muppet can we appoint next?

I'm pretty disappointed it won't be Adkins. Parkinson deserves credit for the cup run Bradford had a while back but what managers achieve in the league is far more telling, and he's not really shone there. I don't think cup runs are the best way to judge managers but that's obviously the highlight ...

Re: Which muppet can we appoint next?

Out of those on the shortlist, I strongly favour Adkins. He's got a good reputation for working with young players and everyone seems to like hhim, so I think he'd be the sort who can bring the best out of what we've got and create some positive momentum. I think he's chosen tough jobs since he lef...

Re: Which muppet can we appoint next?

If the owners don't have the money to give Maher and Threlkeld new contracts, there's no way the FA would have allowed them to buy the club in the first place. They wouldn't cost £5k a week for the pair of them, so if we were that skint, there's no way the takeover deal could have gone through becau...

Re: For new signings, ask the man from the Pru

Woah. We are losing 1M quid a month. The new owners aren't at fault for that. We are about to lose a considerable chunk of revenue too. The new owners have never said they would be able to pump millions in. They said they could secure our future for this season and next. Part of that promise might ...

Re: For new signings, ask the man from the Pru

I really hope we don't sell him. We should be thinking that all our prospects are on small money and could develop into something pretty special, which wouldn't just make the club more profitable and successful, but the value of the players will increase too. We almost got rid of Clough, Vela and n...

Re: Tired excuses..

I strongly disagree with all this "the players are soft", "they don't care", "they don't try" sort of argument from football fans. The number of players who genuinely don't care is tiny and the fact is, because those players don't have that sort of competitive edge you need in sport, they're the tal...

Re: Next season - might as well get it started now.

The problems with the squad can be fixed with good coaching, something we haven't had for a while. Everyone on here will slag them off no end but we've seen the likes of Mark Davies, Pratley, Spearing, Danns etc. have played well enough at points, they've just not been anywhere consistent enough. Th...

Re: Pride Park Comes Before The Fall - Derby (A) 09/04/16

As much as I like the idea of giving the young players a chance, they're just going to go into next season demoralised because of how bad these results have been and will continue to be. Derby just beat a good Hull side 4-0 so what chance do we have of escaping a battering? Nobody benefits from thes...

Re: Which muppet can we appoint next?

Neville has been sacked by Valencia so he'd be my preferred option now, if he's up for dropping to League One. I think we'd be a good option for him too because he wants to prove himself in England, we're a big club with great facilities, we have a young squad and we're looking to get promoted next ...

Re: Shut the Gate, our horse has bolted - Bristol C (A) 19/0

Not surprising at all, sadly. We should have been looking at bringing a few players in but instead, we give Feeney away and make it clear Spearing is done, so it's bound to have an affect on the team. I can't blame them for being demoralised, they have every right to be because for all the upbeat pr...

Great to see Reidy back at the club. Useless manager but he played for us decades ago so who cares? Can't wait until Browny joins him either, the glory days will be back! Great job, Deany Holdsyworthy!

Re: Which muppet can we appoint next?

I'd be furious if Brown was appointed. He's an arrogant, egotistical bully and I don't want him anywhere near the club. It's not even like he's a good manager either, he's a failure at a decent level and assuming we get relegated this year, if he got us promoted the next, so what? It's not like he'...
