Re: Port out, starboard home? Landlocked Peterborough (A) 13
Any goalkeeper should have saved that 10/10, easy save IMO. But if the sun blinded him then fair enough can't be helped. It was a real, chocolate handed effort. If you watch it again, it's well hit but goes through his palm rather than fingertips. It's a 50/50 not great goalkeeping/good strike of t...

Re: Visit of the Valiants. Port Vale Home...29th Oct.
Madine is doing ok for me. Yes, he keeps missing bloody sitters but he's part of a team that's second in the division so he must be doing something right? If he was missing them and we were losing, he'd deserve all the criticism. We're in Division 3 for god's sake, we're hardly going to be playing M...

I'd ordered my meal at the Chinese and was just sitting back to relax, when over waddles this mallard with a red rose under one wing, a box of chocolates under the other and accompanied by a violinist.
I shouted to the waiter "Oi! I said I wanted AROMATIC duck..."

As long as Spearing or Derik put a cap on that on that blonde lad in midfield, we'll win I'd like to see Derik put a cap on. Can't do that for you but how about Fellaini in a chef's hat? http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2013/04/11/article-0-193E41B7000005DC-259_634x447.jpg He looks mortarfied...

I don't mind Madine, he does a job, but whoever plays up there with him needs to start scoring. All the sitters I've seen missed recently are between Clough, Proctor and Henry. Plus Vela doesn't look like really scoring which is strange because he seems to have a decent shot on him. All in all, i t...

That part doesn't worry me much (over and above it being "a bit shit"). It's in fairly common use across a number of Clubs... I know it's common to hear it at other grounds, but it makes me cringe that we've actually gone to the trouble of recording it and playing over the PA system at the start of...

I think we're doing well with what we've got.
I'd have extra shooting practice on for the rest of the week though.
Good God we miss some easy chances.

Re: Under The Influence.
Harry Bassett summed up David Lee to perfection. He said that he was either man of the match or a waste of a shirt. Too often he was the latter for me. Aye - think that's true too, but in terms of influence, all them Cup games where we were giant killing and stuff, stand out and Lee played his part...

I'd personally go: 1. Keith Branagan 2. Phil Brown (captained the club through some great times and brilliant as Big Sam's assistant (Neither No2 or "Right Hand Man" sounded appropriate...)) 3. Hierro (Has there been a player of more stature at the club?) 4. Colin Hendry (Was an absolute rock the se...

Think you have to have Djorkaeff and Okocha - They were the driving force behind an extraordinary decade. Also Gudni, due to his remarkable service Would personally have Jussi over Branagan, but I get the point Again, you could say Djorkaeff because who would've ever thought we'd have a World Cup w...
