Re: Andy Kellet

That was David Lee-esque Except he scored at the end :P ...and the TV cameras weren't there. Except this one  1s9spYVKE9c That was my point. David Lee always seemed a better player when the cameras were present. The number of times he sliced or pulled his shots: he could have been a golfer!

Re: Treatment table

Hmm, never a massive fan of Medo. Lots of misplaced passes and a bit of a rash personality that leads to bad challenges. Consistency is always what holds players like Medo back. When he first arrived, he was picking the passes, getting the tackles in and going close to scoring every match. If Lenno...

Re: Max Clayton

Is Portsmouth's Oxlade Chamberlain any relation to the Oxtail Chamberpot at Arsenal? Jamie Thomas scored the only goal as Bolton Wanderers beat Portsmouth to reach the fourth round of the FA Youth Cup. Having missed a good chance to fire the Whites ahead early on, Thomas made amends by flicking the...

Re: Bijou Bob's Bargain Basement Buys - Jan transfer thread

I'm with Bruce on the Heskey issue. If Lennon takes a look and thinks he can do a job, I'll go with that. In Neil we trust (for the present;-)

Optimistically, I'm also with those who say Chungy being away for Jan might save us from losing him... let's hope so (and let's hope he comes back fit).

Re: The KNIGHT-mare Reloaded - Ipswich home

I don't think Mason is a poacher per se but he needs to play in a front two, preferably as the deeper one. He was mainly hopeless in his first loan spell last year alone up top, and it's absolutely no coinkydink that his very productive second spell came when he was playing off a very good (for thi...

Lennon's pre-match press conference - http://youtu.be/dZZR0dDipfk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; [can I embed video using an iPad?] Cravies out with a hamstring strain; Wilkinson in contention for a place; and it's "wait and see" on Eidur. dZZR0dDipfk Bloody hell! Re: Gudjohnsen training with the squad

We don't have the clout, financial or otherwise, to replace players like Lee, or Mavies for that matter. If Lennon gets rid of either he will have not taken very long to lose the plot. Eidur would be a very, very short term stop-gap. Almost on the level of a season-long loan. I'm sure Lennon will b...

What's wrong with the occasional Glaswegian stripper? According to Miss Ekland, that one had a "fat arse". It looked perfectly fine to this young shaver. :) If that arse counted as fat, what was Brit packing? (*imagines - two anorexic schoolboys fighting under a blanket) (Almost makes me feel sorry...

Re: Gudjohnsen training with the squad

Lcy will be away or sold in Jan! Eidur is his replacement! With navies out we are seriously lacking a creative midfield type I think this is much nearer the mark than any out-and-out goalscorer theory... I can see him being provider more than finisher... I hope to be proved utterly wrong and discov...

Indeed High risk passes are often the high reward ones and sometimes need to be attempted Especially when your team isn't packed with 'footballers' What you don't want is high risk passes with a potentially low return For example, volleyed cross-field back heel just outside your own box, like JayJa...

Hats off to TKIZ and Tango for graphics contributions.

Heskey might not set the pulse racing, but I'm with those who say, if NL reckons he can do a short-term job, let's give him a chance.

btw spellcheck keeps changing Heskey to Husky.

So, anything better than 7-1 defeat is a sign we're heading in the right direction? I take it we're all happy with that? *halo* We cheered that 1 like it was a match winner. Didn't half confuse the hoopy-shirted bar stewards. I had the 'pleasure' of driving my Reading supporting friend to and from ...
