Re: 4 at the back vs 3-5-2 2014/2015 season
I don't think i should have banged on about my personal prejudice of the formation in my original post because that wasn't really the point and I could be wrong, if you have the players for it, it will probably work out, however I think it's really hard to get those players especially at Championshi...

4 at the back vs 3-5-2 2014/2015 season
Admittedly I only normally browse this forum briefly after match day or to help me fill my post/pre-season Wanderers void but I've not seen much of a discussion on Lennon's repeated fruitless use of this seemingly crazy formation. Every time I've seen us play it we've looked awful and the fact he ha...

Re: Life Is A Bowl Of Cherries
Feeney is fine as a right winger he's not a fecking wing back or a no. 10 though which is where he's been slotted in recently, shame he's our new scapegoat. I agree Walker is no where near ready, shocked to see him stay in the team for so long.

Re: Life Is A Bowl Of Cherries
I'm really fecking sick of this 3-5-2 bollocks! Is he fecking stupid??? We never play well in it. Semi success against Liverpool who played a similar system but that's it!! Remember when he realised it was garbage and changed it against Fulham and we ended up dicking!! Only 10 more times he's tried ...

Re: Dragon slayers! - Cardiff City (H) 04/11/14
Had to come on here to post to stick up for Mills. I see your concerns but he read the game alright last night making some excellent blocks and interceptions. He also won everything in the air and put in a captains performance and on another day could of had another goal. I'm not sold on Dervite who...

Re: Our strongest possible team
Agree on most of it although I'd have Lonergan in for Bogdan. I don't think Holden will ever recover his top form so I'm gonna judge him on what I saw last season in which case I'd have Danns there. Also really is a toss up between Moritz and Sparky for me at this point but I'll make a call.... I'm ...

Re: π = √(4c ) ∑ in Wiggin
Went to the game and thought I might as well share my thoughts. Thought Dougie got the initial team right today. Keeping the winning team bar adding some steel in midfield for an away trip against some good attacking players (at this level anyway). Having said that in the first half we were fecking ...

Who will stay and who will go?!
IMHO our 6 most important and probably best players at the moment are: Dawson, Spearing, M.Davies, Chungy, Alonso and Pratley (who i dubbed the worst premiership player I had ever seen in a Bolton shirt last season. I stand by it but you've got to love him recently.) Dawson and Spearing are on loan ...

Re: Wednesday / Wednesday
Spearing was by far our best player but Andrews was/is tank and offers us nothing we don't already have in Spearing (who is a lot better). He can win the ball but he offers no creativity what so ever. One of the most conservative players I have ever seen, thought he banged em in!!! Eagles plays like...

4 games guys... grow up. In my eyes it's only acceptable to start saying things like this if you can suggest a likely replacement. The only half decent suggestion I've seen on this forum is Billy Davies. I really like him but to be calling for Owen's head so soon is embarrassing. The way I see it i...

I fancy one. The board should be working overtime to find a suitable and affordable replacement for the guy, who they think shows promise and is good enough to take us up and keep us up it's no good saying he took Burnley up if he can't do a job in both fecking leagues. Owen Coyle is a good, nice ma...

Re: You Deserve to go Down
Oh get the frig over yourselves about that 'goal' at the reebok. Lucky things happen, unlucky thiings happen, all over a season. Of course we deserved to go down, we finished third from bottom, but shut up about that fecking goal, jesus. This...do one please. We came 18th and you came 17th so obvio...

Two personally stand out for me; Firstly are away win against Everton where Youri scored both goals including a winner in the last minute to continue our amazing streak at the time. This was special for me as I don't go to many away games and the atmosphere was fantastic and also cos I had to suffer...

Re: Any BWFC in their 50s help me with family dispute?
Just got the complete record out and they did indeed seem to have a quite a lot of games together and im presuming they were both in central defense as Jones wore the 5 shirt and Warwick wore the 6. Also a few games together with Jones wearing 5 and Warwick wearing 4.

Re: our new squad...
Gardner must be absolutely crocked cos their is surely no way he'd name Obadeyi ahead of him who by all accounts he's never used and is probably no where near Premiership quality. We have 26 players over the age and if he has actually chosen Obdaeyi over Ricky G on merit then it's a stupid move. Ric...

Re: Bolton vs Aston vanilla (The official match thread)
Hump Knight has had a few stinkers and struggles for consistency granted, your criticisms of him are true, but he often puts in a good performance for us. Is he better than Wheater or Cahill? Nope far from it but I don't think he's the most pressing concern. If he can go great but I think the midfie...

Re: Gary Megson
It seemed like the fans were against him from day one..... Would that be fair? Sorry for my ignorance around the situation, but was never quite sure what went off I think you need to take it in the context of the time. At the time, Bolton had 4 top 8 finishes in a row, including a 6th (5th but for ...
