Re: Wolves fan in peace

With my father in law being a Wolves fan this game was of particular interest to me so I will give you my point of view as I was at the game: - On the game: - Wolves were very poor first half although our passing display was one of the best I have seen for a very long time at The Reebok. O'Hara and ...

Re: Biggest club in the North East: Sunderland Replay

Just found this from the local Sunderland rag "So it was up to the players to get the crowd going. It was, however, clear from the first couple of minutes that Bolton, who themselves rested some first-team regulars, were happy to sit tight, hit the ball long and take their chances on the break. It w...

Re: Holden Back For Wears.

Holden may well be on the bench tonight and Vela will start and they will give Holden probably about half an hour. The issue with not playing him tonight is that with the weather predictions for ice etc there could be a chance that reserve games may get called off and not having one until February w...

Re: Worthy's better class of transfer thread

I don't think Sam Ricketts and Zat Knight will be on huge wages simply because they re-signed after we went down so I would assume that their wages packets would reflect the fact that we are a championship club it's more people like CYL N'Gog who would be the problem.

Re: Millwall @ The Reebok

Coyle was fine when everything was going ok his only sticky time was with us and he had no-one he could turn to like Dougie has with Lennie who knows the game been there done it. He left Burnley as they were on the slide got out at the right time. The main reason he did ok with us were because he ma...

Re: Millwall @ The Reebok

Millwall deserve credit for forcing us into that mistake for their penalty as they hassled us at the back not allowing us to play. No doubting that we have class players but you need players who will go in where it hurts and like a battle (Vela, Spearing, Wheater, K Davies) and only having a few of ...

Re: Biggest club in the North East: Sunderland Replay

Just for the record Craig Davies cannot play against Sunderland tomorrow as he wasn't signed in time for the original tie.

Rules state that any player not registered with the club by the original tie cannot play in the replay.

Re: Millwall @ The Reebok

Interesting calls for Dougie to make on Saturday Lonergan needs to start for me and I would play Sordell as he should and hopefully will have a point to prove against them.

Re: Millwall/Peterborough ticket offer

I have taken up this offer on behalf of my mate but beware that if you ring Bolton Central and select option 1 for home match tickets and ask for the £10.00 bundle you cannot select the seat you want as that option gets you through to ticketmaster who cannot select just any seats (it comes up random...

Re: Mark Davies

Just a thought but isn't Stu Holden due back mid to late Jan if all goes to plan? Chances are that Butterfield will stay beyond the two months maybe a season loan so not panicking yet. The best game we have played this season was at Blackburn ironically without M Davies so providing his fitness and ...

Re: Worthy's better class of transfer thread

Just throwing a couple of names in but if we are looking for strikers how about Chris Wood who is on loan at Millwall and available for £1m or maybe Craig Davies at Barnsley. I know they are not inspiring names but they have the goals in them to get us out of this league.

Re: Now he's gone, who's next?

I would go for Keith Hill but how about someone like Mick McCarthy as manager with someone like David Lee alongside him the u18 side are doing well with him in charge so why not have an assistant with a view to him making the step up therefore sorting out the short-term and the long term at the same...

Re: If Coyle gets the sack

Just read the sun online and had a smile when it said Coyle to be sacked today until I read the rest that said we were going to put Sammy Lee in charge for the rest of the season then try and get Big Sam back and no that is no joke. I am actually torn about wanting him to go because there is no doub...

Re: Bolton - Leeds

What Coyle said was correct we played really well in first half created chances passed it well then when things went against us we pulled it back as for Warnock they did not deserve to get a win even a draw was fortunate. Just shows how bad they are when Coyle can play his two wingers on the wrong s...

Re: Bolton - Leeds

Just reading through the posts and it seems some are baffled by the decision to replace Spearing. Spearing had been booked in the first half so one tackle with the way the ref had been and he could have been off. Against their midfield we needed people who could put a tackle in they were just gettin...

Re: Conman & Liar

As much as I love Klasnic if it was a choice between him and KD I believe we kept the right one Sordell can score goals at this level and N'Gog should as well so Klasnic really shouldn't be missed and if he is then we have a problem. KD on the otherhand gives you something other players don't have w...

Re: Conman & Liar

I might be in a minority but I for one am Happy that Kevin Davies has re-signed also with the news that Petrov is likely to be staying. Jussi really isn't up for debate as he will more than likely be leaving and even if he was to stay wouldn't be a bad reserve. My reasons for this are there is no do...
