Re: Today I'm angry about.....

Some t**t has spent £300 on my credit card, on-line betting and topping their phone up - I hope they can trace the number but doubt it with a pay and go :-( Know how you must be feeling mate, same thing happened to me some time ago. I got the money back after a couple of weeks but it makes you feel...

Re: Fabrice Muamba

Watching this doc...actually welling up in parts. I know its a cliche but it does put stuff into perspective like whinging about team selections. Agreed. The chants from when he was down... I wasn't watching that day, I was reading this forum and the BBC, so this is the first time I've seen some of...

Last year I got the missus a new bag and a new belt. She was furious but don't know why though, the hoover works perfectly now.

Re: The Wanderer; A Thesaurus

Crumpet pizza sounds very interesting. Here's what you do... Lightly toast the crumpet so you get it warmed through. For the tomato sauce use some pasata, dried oregano and garlic to taste and season. Spoon it on top of the warm crumpet (be generous). Sprinkle grated cheese of your choice (be gener...

Re: The Wanderer; A Thesaurus

Ok, go into a chippy in Bolton and ask for a chip muffin......I dares you..... Barm is right. Bap is acceptable. Muffin is a particular type of bread that is nice lightly toasted with honey on (distinct from a crumpet). See, nothing from the bread family should be lightly toasted with honey. Wrong ...

Re: Phobias

No-one has ever shoved a banana up my derriere... No idea where it is from, but it is a true phobia as it is irrational... The mother tells a tale that as a baby - talking months old - I'd see a banana, freeze and start to shake uncontrollably... wierd! Not that bad now, I can be in a room with the...

Being 9 at the time, I can't remember too much about the game, but I can remember there being a "Celebrity" match before the actual game. Can anyone shed any light on as to who played?! My dad vaguely remembers George Best playing. Can remember some folks around me mentioning something about a matc...

Re: The Tykes Thread

I quite agree but MD does seem to TRY to tackle more and together with his recent positioning on the pitch, I would say that DF is trying to mould him into a centre mid. Perhaps he has seen something in him in training.

Re: Dougie Freedman - New Manager

I still think that the squad we have, especially with the additions of Warnock and Spearing, are good enough to gain automatic promotion if the league started tomorrow. Fact is that we are behind now and the training regimes prior to DF are being put right. I think that we will make slow but steady ...

He drifted out wide when Anelka was here (a certain Mr Evra still has the bruises to show for it!). When I saw N'gog lining up on the right at kick off yesterday I was expecting them to keep switching round but it just didn't happen.
