Re: The Tykes Thread
It seems obvious to me that DF sees MD as a central midfielder.

Re: BWSA last night
Or swapping positions with the striker on the wing for a bit. When I saw how they lined up at the start I was expecting KD to drift out with their big CB and N'Gog to come inside more. Didn't happen.officer_dibble wrote:Aye. when a prick like that is reffing kev should be subbed at half time. pointless.

Re: Dougie Freedman - New Manager
Spearing was grabbing the game by its neck yesterday. Problem was that we stood off too much and then struggled to get forward quickly enough most of the time. The other main problem was that when we had chances we hit them too close to the keeper. Plus the ref cost us two points in my opinion.

Re: Dougie Freedman - New Manager
Sorry bobo but it sounded like you said Eaves when you meant Mears earlier. We knew what you meant though.

Re: The Tykes Thread
Trying to add a bit of positivity on what appears to be a gloomy Sunday on here! But did anybody else think that Spearing was immense yesterday? I thought that the way he broke up play and got stuck in were amazing. And he even won headers!!!

Re: BWSA last night
They did get players around him at times but the Barnsley defence were first to every knock down. And the ref seemed to blow for a free kick nearly every time KD challenged for a ball.

Re: The Tykes Thread
I don't like the way that we stand off teams until they get about 20 yards out. We let teams have too many long shots and play too many passes in our half. If we won the ball a bit further up the pitch then the counter attacking game would be much more effective.

Re: The Tykes Thread
I think KD should be used as an impact sub personally. Can still do a very good job for us but not for the full 90. He will always be a hero though.

I know, but there are also people local who listen to the footy on the radio! Anyway, success, the tickets are taken.officer_dibble wrote:I think most people on here go or are too far away to go at the drop of a hat.

Re: Spare tickets for Barnsley
Going to bed soon. If anybody decides they want to go to the match or knows someone that might do then pm me and I will give you my mobile number in the morning. Not asking that anybody sits with me and my lad, I will scan in the tickets through the turnstile and there are a vast array of empty seat...

Re: BWSA last night
I thought they could. And if not, I would have thought they could have come up with a new deal before the window closed. The loan rules in the npower league are complicated!! Be a shame to see him go though, I have enjoyed the back four balance with him at left back.
