Re: Summer 2020 transfers

It's right mess, but would be worse with another dodgy defender taking up a wage and place.
Also, if I ran the club (it'd be brilliant obvs) I wouldn't be committing any more long term wages to this particular project until I knew it wasn't a load of bollocks. Cheap loans or nothing.

Re: Summer 2020 transfers

I think against Harrogate I would pick a midfield of Tutte, White and have Comley sit behind. Literally go to protect a point and try and build on that. Means dropping Doyle... https://img.startingeleven.co.uk/usr/a/5f70f32a17230.jpg https://startingeleven.co.uk/user-formation/326372 I see your poi...

I can't shake the feeling that finally one of those 'I got Scunthorpe to the Champions League on Football Manager' letters finally slipped through the recruitment net and we mistakenly appointed Tobias Phoenix. He's actually called Trevor Peanut and lives in his gran's spare room.

We’ve not even got the fans in the ground giving stick, booing - evatt/Phoenix signed every single player - there are no excuses for this! He could be the first manager we’ve ever had potted without a game in front of fans. It’s woeful.
Just him or Phoenix too?

Re: Summer 2020 transfers

These are questions that phoenix should be answering rather than leaving a floundering rookie manager to take all the flak. Iles describes him as having 'an air of mystery'. The mystery is where he's come from, what qualifies him for a big job like this. I reread the interview he deigned to give Ile...

Re: Pragmatism vs Perseverance

Sack the useless prick. Life's too short to waste on giving yet another manager time to piss about and still get nowhere. We could've just thrown a condom soiled toilet brush vaguely near the touchline and we'd literally be in the exact same position as this dick right now. Could've maybe even done...

Haven't been impressed with White. He seems no better than the other midfielders we have been playing. I don't rate Darcy the way others on here do, but at least he fights hard and not afraid to put in a shift. Not seeing that with the current set. They seem scared. I'm also not entirely convinced ...

Re: Pragmatism vs Perseverance

I’m not seeing it. Gone by the end of next month is my prediction. I think they'll desperately cling to.him no.matter what. To a point obviously, but no way this side of Christmas. We've signed some shit but a reasonable team can be made from what we've got. He might need to set aside his lofty ide...

“I have to pick players who are going to show me the desire to win – they might not technically be the best players for the system, the shape or the opposition but if they give me 100 per cent desire and commitment, work their nuts off, it might be the best way forward at the moment. We need to stop...

Evatt says we look like Real Madrid in training. He does realise that it's our defenders making them look like that? I think the Revels metaphor would work better if their flavours were based on different varieties of animal dung. I'm no fan of maltesers but I'm offended on their behalf by th...

Commentary gone off now. I'm picturing Burden Paddock sneaking off under the stand with a pair of wire snips and a cheeky grin.
