they allow multiple sites to service the same line too thus reducing costs. and if bertie's gran had to ring say BG in India from bolton she'd pay a long distance call and she'd have no idea what it cost. swings and roundabouts. and if you sit on hold for 2hours rather than call back later, well th...

0870 numbers usually only charge you up to a certain point (5 minutes IMSC) Doesn;t matter, most of us (I presume) now get calls for free, but that excludes 0870 numbers. So instead of getting free calls to these 'un'help lines, you have to pay. c*nts. 0870 is a non-geographic standard rate line. i...

hmmm... but a Godparent does NOT carry out that role - it's a myth. Those kind of decisions should be stated in your will - being a godparent gives you no legal status or rights over the child in the event of both parents carking it.... really.... no legal status whatsoever.... Quite right. The ide...

Slightly less than 365 and a quarter actually, so 2000 was not a leap year. A leap year is any year than can be divided by four except those that can be divided by 400. I get paid twice a month whether it is 28, 29, 30 or 31 days - so in terms of dollars per hour, the shorter the month the better. ...

Me and wife went to New York last year. It was the first time we had flown in three years. By adopting Mr Cameron's approach, whether we flew once in three years or ten would not matter one jot. If you surpass 2,000 miles in one year you get hit with the bill, so you get no annual credit by NOT fly...

so with Chelski, Arse and Spuds all in the £40-50 range it does add up but I go. £50 for a non-regular league game. Arsenal and Chelsea away this year will be pushing it. Would pay anything for the FA cup final. upwards of £100 for a day out down at the Emirates or Stamford Bridge is not necessaril...

Just one little tip for you. I'm applying for university at the moment, and the system they use is they have entry requirements based on your grades at A-Level. One thing you might consider doing is looking at a course at university in advance and seeing what grades/subjects they require. If for ex...

You could play the video and take a picture of the vital moment :conf:

Or if you haven't the video, wait until I get round to transferring it to DVD and I'll do it for you, but you may have to wait a couple of years.

LOL it's a big country. Depends on the accent, we have a lot of them too, although much more of a problem in the northeast. I personally love the Boston accent, but many find it annoying. Hadnt noticed the t thing, but I definitely know we destroy our vowels like you lot do h's that start a word! L...

NOT madly keen on the man, but even less keen on the press. I heard the original interview and he was "selectively" quoted from it.

No, let's make that I HATE THE UK PRESS.
