Re: Options for the next manager
This is a question for anyone who watches more than I do (everyone). When Schon first played, I forget the game, but I saw a lot of favourable noises on here. Now, it seems like he's awful. My question is... Did they buy a decent player who showed what he can do in the first game, then got told to ...

Re: Grassroots Footy
I coached my son's team from U6-U12s, when our team fell apart. Partly (mainly?) loved it, but now equally loving not doing it and just being able to watch my lad play rather than having to manage the team. We were lucky and never had too much toxicity from parents, but the politics behind the scene...

Burning pitchforks and banners for Saturday then. You do know we win on Saturday, yeah? :D I think it's the wrong call, btw - just with maybe a bit less hyperbole. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Sheets-Wrinkle-Shrinkage-Resistant-Polycotton/dp/B0C5B15MF4/ref=asc_df_B0C5B15MF4?tag=bingshoppinga-21&linkCod...

Re: The ianevattable sacking
If true, I wonder how the captaincy impacts Santos? Does he spit his dummy out and it sees the end of him in the team (which I sincerely hope is not the case, as when on form he's a cracking player), or does he see it as a weight off and relaxes back into the player that he was......

Ilsey mentioned something on his podcast last week that Niaz and someone else who's name I've forgotten (someone Mason?) were taking over as joint Chief Execs (although unsure whether permanent or on interim basis)???

Why do we 'need" to be promoted?
Genuine question. We all want promotion, and the invest are aiming for it, but what happens if we dont get it?
You said all lost season he needed promotion, yet we missed out and were still here and have invested heavily in the squad....

[quote="Dave Sutton's barnet" post_id=1182975 tim Yep, you've definitely pinpointed some problems there. Don't miss chances when you're on top. Figure out what to do when the oppo changes (frequently a problem). And don't be a dick. [/quote] On your last point, I genuinely think most - of not all or...

Choose your own narrarive: 1). Same old Bolton. No leaders. Bottlers. Evatt out Evatt out. Not fit to wear the shirt. Liability. Pub league players. Or..... 2) A draw in exactly the sort of game we'd have lost last season. Their keeper MOTM. Half our team only known each other a week. Played 3. Won ...

Re: Welcome to Bolton. Wrexham (h), 18/08, 3pm
Not necessarily based on form though. Evatt has been very clear that he's sets up the starting XI to complete against specific opposition.
Whether he always gets that right or not will define our season I guess, but it may lead to the odd surprise for some fans in games...

Re: Full Steam Ahead to Orient (a) 10/08, 17:30
Sure, but it's a bit reductive. The system massively benefits us in almost every game. In some games teams manage to expose weaknesses. In this case that weakness wasn't just Jack. That diagonal ball came from a defender who had far too much time on the ball, because Dion and Arfield didn't get the...
