Re: Up Winter Hill Bah't hat. Home to Barnsley, Tues 7th May 8-0 clock

If they can't, it's pretty legitimate to wonder how they'd cope a division higher and/or wonder whether they can get us there in the first place. Contrary to my evergreen optimism and positivity, I sadly think I know the answer to how we might cope a division higher  (doesn't stop me wanting u...

Re: Up Winter Hill Bah't hat. Home to Barnsley, Tues 7th May 8-0 clock

There's little merit in pointing out there's two teams. That's how football works. We know there's two teams, can we just stop the other one scoring 3 quite as often? COYWM. Don't disagree, but people are always quick to point to their own deficiencies without thinking about why those deficiencies ...

I'd argue it is exactly just the guys with "D" in their job title that need to defend - the Defenders, miDfielders and forwarDs......** ** couldn't fit a D into wing-backs/full-backs unfortunately (unless we call them wiDe...

Re: Up Winter Hill Bah't hat. Home to Barnsley, Tues 7th May 8-0 clock

And Maghoma can’t just drift off and stop because he doesn’t fancy tracking back. I agree with this completely. The guy is a hell of a talent and the only player in our team who can unlock defences like he does with his twisting and turning and incisive passes, but on many occasions I see him meand...

Re: Up Winter Hill Bah't hat. Home to Barnsley, Tues 7th May 8-0 clock

We've won nothing yet, and that 2nd half performance fell a fair way short of target. We've done the minimum necessary to get through to our minimum target. Games will have to be upped, defences will have to be tightened if we want to achieve our primary target. I'm kind of with you, but it would b...

We got there. That's all that matters.

It was an absolute privilege to be in the best atmosphere I've ever experienced at the 'bok. Amazing support.

Re: Up Winter Hill Bah't hat. Home to Barnsley, Tues 7th May 8-0 clock

Only sold just over 22K for this. I never really understand Bolton fans. 26 for what was always likely to be meaningless against Portsmouth. Then our biggest game of the season so far and likely to be under 25 thousand. What’s the issue? Tickets are reasonably priced. Is it KO time? Or are too many...

That waterfall chant is an absolute banger
Yes, quite. Not often you get a new chant. And not often you get one as high in quality as this one. Just hope it lasts more than 3 games with the names in there at the moment

Thought it was a foul by Cam on first viewing, but after watching it back a few times it definitely isn’t.
There was no foul, but it didn't stop their cheat of a keeper leaping back into the net to try to con the ref (who thankfully didn't fall for said con...)

Re: No nonsense, Ronseal type of deal. Barnsley Away. 3rd May 2024 19.30pm

Weirdly not the greatest performance, but strangely effective. Great to see Charles back up to full speed - hopefully hitting form again at just the right time. Baxter doing what Baxter seems superb at: doing nothing for most of the game and the pulling superb saves out of the bag. Jerome doing what...

Re: The Nostradamus file....

By that thinking any season irrespective of what happens is a success. But every season bolton wanderers are in league one should be considered a failure by anyone who is wanting to see this club get back to where it should. ................. I get some people don’t care. They’d be happy surviving ...

Re: Season 23/24 Predictions

Baxter as well don't forget - basically the whole spine of the team out for considerable chunks. I know other teams have had their injuries, but none of us can compare how each absentee impacts each team. I'm as disappointed as everyone that we haven't already secured 2nd, but as you say, a failure ...

Re: The Nostradamus file....

I hear you, but do we know that is the case? IE & the board are clear on their objectives to be promoted, and clearly its in the business plan, but they will have a plan B which might involve staying in league 1 for another season (hopefully only 1!!). I might have missed it, and apologies if I have...

Re: The Nostradamus file....

Not being promoted is disastrous. I'd be happy (or very unhappy...) to be proved wrong, but I don't think it is disastrous at all. My prediction would be that not being promoted basically means we start next season in League 1 and try to get promoted then, whilst also trying to progress in the cups...

Re: The Nostradamus file....

But we don't know that. Carlisle beat us, at home. Their players are essentially playing for contracts and a place next season. Stranger things have happened....**
