Re: Should I(E) stay or should I(E) go?
Ah well, at least our keeper will just about do........ OK, so just to recap. You expect us to sign - as an absolute minimum to even compete in this league: Top level, captain-ready centre half + 2 x "Karl Henry-esque" midfielders, at least one who has plied their trade a level above + 2 good winge...

Re: Should I(E) stay or should I(E) go?
I think that we need some positive / uplifting news ASAP, as being out & about over the BH weekend the fans are completely deflated & flat - no one I spoke to is positive about next season. Nobody will be excited by next season until we are looking set to win the league. Even then there will be fea...

Re: Should I(E) stay or should I(E) go?
^^The issue with Nlundulu is not that it was a poor transfer. It’s the hubris of Evatt thinking that we can develop him into the next ‘Ivan Toney’ and that as a league one club we can afford to take such risks with limited resources and the idea we don’t need to pour every thing we have into gettin...

Re: Should I(E) stay or should I(E) go?
Good question by AT. If we'd have fought hard at Wembley and been narrowly beaten, I'm sure I'd be in the 'Evatt stay' camp. To be fair I'm only just in the 'Evatt out' one, even after the limp performance we did put in. Dan could become a huge millstone for Evatt though. Much as I love the guy and...

Re: Should I(E) stay or should I(E) go?
The support and backing is undeniable - don't think anyone is disputing that at all. The failure to get up is also undeniable. However, failure happens (see half a dozen premier League managers who did the same - doesn't make them crap....) Where it gets tricky in my mind is that repeated failure ha...

Re: Should I(E) stay or should I(E) go?
He has been backed. Considerably. He has also failed to deliver on the targets he went public with. I get it. However, through all his failings, until he isn't, he's our manager. And all those spineless bottlers are our players until they're moved on. We need to support them and get behind them, but...

Re: Should I(E) stay or should I(E) go?
Once more, leave the sense of entitlement will you please. We are NOT a big club. We are a once big club that almost was wiped out of the league and are trying to rebuild. I think some.fans need a big dose of a reality check. If some could get off their high horses about us having a divine right to ...

Re: Should I(E) stay or should I(E) go?
Or..... Maybe the thought of walking/sacking hasn't crossed either IE's/Sharon's minds, and only exists in a few anonymous internet forummers (is that a word?) & BEN story commenters (another one - is that a word, or is it commentators?) opinions, so nobody feels any form of official statement is ne...

Re: Should I(E) stay or should I(E) go?
Well, I'd argue its a once-great club that is trying to become great again, but is a long way from it. I'd also argue he's not nothing - until he's not, he is our manager and as long as he is he needs our support. Why the hell should he adopt such a disrespectful view from an anonymous internet post...

Yep. Same team, same manager, lose 1r places in the league?!?!?!!BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Sun May 19, 2024 7:33 pmI’d be amazed if there isn’t. If we go into next season with Evatt and a similar squad it’s going to be incredibly grim. I could see it being bottom half.nicholaldo wrote: ↑Sun May 19, 2024 6:49 pmI'd be surprised if there's a wholesale change in personnel.

Ok. Sorry, you win. You're right. Obviously. I admit it now, The players all got together before the game and agreed to sabotage it by not even trying. They just couldn't be arsed... Cos they thought it might be funny. Jesus wept..... No. They are just too casual, not determined enough. You don’t w...

Re: Should I(E) stay or should I(E) go?
Stay for me. With the caveat that anything other than automatic promotion sees him gone. Do you think firmly that target will be met? Because it’s a bit pointless if not. And if you believe he will achieve that next season then the caveat is unnecessary. It's not pointless, it's very valid. Do you ...

They are shithouses. And I can’t honestly come to any other conclusion. They will no doubt go elsewhere and not care one bit. Fans can’t. We are stuck here. And we deserve a hell of a lot better than this group and their ‘efforts’. One could argue - if they were so inclined - that given the. Level ...

Yep. You're obviously right (as always). Professional sportsmen in the biggest games of their careers - with the prospect of promotion on TV and with no doubt chunky promotion bonuses and/or pay rises riding on it - really would turn up and just not try. There's just no other possible conclusion.......

Re: Rising in Wembley's Glow: A Bolton Wanderers Tale - Bolton vs Oxford. 18th May 2024, 4.15pm
The failings today are systemic. They are Evatts. He’s had three seasons to build and the problems remain. To get out of this division playing like we are needs considerably better players than we have. You can’t do it. We need a manager who is actually successful - knows what it takes to win and w...

To be fair, on that showing whoever went up is getting spanked from pillar to post on the championship.
Never mind. We regroup and go again
.
Next season it'll be reet. We'll shit em
