Re: Questions about Allardyce's spell in charge
Thoroughly enjoyed reading that. Well-researched, and well-written.

Re: The Norwich away, match thread
I agree with AT. Lennon said that the slate would be wiped clean, everybody would be given a chance. And that's exactly what he's doing. Lennon was never going to drop players on the basis of watching a few DVDs so let's leave him to it. Beckford has had his chance, but he hasn't impressed. Same wit...

Re: Will Carrot Top top Carrott?
Good stuff. Was expecting a defeat so over the moon with a win and clean sheet. Right now I just want to see us out of the relegation zone, so not thinking any further ahead than that. Watched the stream and the players looked a lot more confident, maybe cos they're all organised and know their jobs...

Re: Trouble in't Mill
Was at the game tonight. I thought the team clicked into place when Chungy & Feeney came on. Suddenly we started getting into scoring positions. Mason could have had 2 hat tricks. Now we have a plan, and a bit of confidence, I insist that Freedman keeps the same team next game. But he won't, useless...

Re: Just a quick one..
The Internet has now turned into just another broadcast medium, alongside FM Radio / Digital Terrestrial TV / Satellite TV. The club has never tried to acquire a monopoly over any of those other media, but it has done with Internet match commentary. They say "only BWFC is permitted to broadcast comm...

Re: Just a quick one..
Unfortunately, there are no websites that broadcast the Radio Manchester FM/DAB football commentary. It would be fantastic if this was available, as there's been plenty of occasions when I've been outside the North-west and wanted to listen to dedicated coverage. I'm sure Radio Manchester would love...

Re: Zulu Down - Brum match thread
Really cheesed off again today. In the first half and early second half we looked like an average team that had nothing to play for, but still had enough in the tank to go 2 up against a poor Birmingham team. Birmingham wanted to win more than us, but that doesn't guarantee anything, they were there...

Re: Mark Davies
He might be a liability in the premier league, but in the Championship we have always played very well when he's been in the team. Would love to keep him if we can, but I suspect he is still on Premier league wages, so the powers-that-be may have already decided we simply can't afford him. Leicester...

Re: By Eck- T' Huddersfield Match Thread
The frustrating thing is though, however good our form has been recently, there have been plenty of games where I think we could have played a lot better. Even a simpleton football fan like me can tell the difference between positive & negative tactics. I don't need a coaching badge for that. And wh...

Re: Visit of the Orangemen from Dublin....
Just back from the game, we started the first 5 mins brightly, then faded. We just couldn't find any rhythm, constantly giving the ball away. Far too much reliance on the long ball from Wheater/Knight (despite Mavies screaming for it). Juke n Mason won a lot of the balls, but their centre backs gene...

I'd have taken a point before the game.
We move up one place to 16th.

You know, I did think of that goal. It certainly was a goal to savour, but I felt that Ferdinand contributed to it too. But full credit to Davo for doing that to a top defender.TANGODANCER wrote:Possibly receiving a pass, nutmegging Rio Ferdinand and scoring against Man U might just compete?

Re: The Bourne(mouth) Ultimatum
OK, now I've got it off my chest, so despite our manager succeeding in snatching a draw from the jaws of victory, I thought there were some positives to take out of the match yesterday. Bournemouth looked pretty decent, but apart from their freak goal in the first half we dominated and controlled th...

Re: The Bourne(mouth) Ultimatum
I'm starting to despair now. This reminded me of Megson's last game in charge (was it Hull?) where we were winning 2-0. Then the genius decided to go defensive and hang onto our lead. Except that everybody else in the stadium knew what was coming. So... today we played well in the first half. Not br...

Brilliant result, not an easy place to get 3 points. Actually going to watch the highlights tonight, after having boycotted it for months. We've turned the corner now, looking like we're starting a run going like last season... can't really put my finger on what's changed in the team though. Tim Rea...
