Re: Summer 2020 transfers

I think he'll play in the middle of the three (competing with Delaney?). Two big lads with pace either side who want to step out into midfield and get us on the front foot. More experienced head directing things from the middle. Agree. Perhaps also spotting a longer ping. Evatt won’t want pointless...

Re: Summer 2020 transfers

Need another left wingback, preferably experienced, and looky here - Callum McFadzean, promoted with Bury and Plymouth, has now left the latter because he wants to move back north. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.plymouthherald.co.uk/sport/football/lowe-plymouth-argyle-trialist-mcfadzean-4378912.am...

Is that it? Are we done now? I haven't previously heard of a single one of them, let alone know where they play or where they're all from, so I very much look forward to flicking the kettle on and pawing my way through DSB's list when it's up to snuff. ;)
Ha! Sorry gaffer, busy today/tomorrow..,

Re: BWFC Squad 20'-21'

Well now. . 889E7B5E-1825-4D6F-89CD-A6DD99DA8030.png . Just two more to go IMO. A left wingback, probably more League experienced; I’m still thinking possibly McFadzean, the Plymouth fella who wants to move back north, although there have been rumours about a loan move for Bristol City’s 21yo George...

Re: Summer 2020 transfers

Quite the day. I'd agree we need one more LWB - still no Bunney, so presumably we're still assessing options - and yes, one more striker (or two if Evatt doesn't fancy Faal and intends to loan him out) – probably a released young 'un we take a punt on. On Brocky, I'd have to ask whether it's better ...

Re: Summer 2020 transfers

Fascinating stuff. For those who may be wondering WTF all this is: As a general but reliable rule, pass completion is lower the more a team plays long balls - so the teams on the left of the graph (Newport, Northampton etc) are of the agricultural tendency. PPG (points per game) is a measure of thei...

Re: Summer 2020 transfers

Interesting Ilesy piece on Evatt's lofty acquisitions addressing the set-piece problems that dogged Barrow early last season https://www.theboltonnews.co.uk/sport/18631105.can-bolton-wanderers-tallest-ever-team-reach-heights-expected/ I didn't know, and wouldn't have guessed, that the Champo had the...

[...] the embargo and squad restrictions for failure to comply with fair play are in the EFL rules and include the definition of established players....as per the above. Am I certain it’s the same for us? No. But I’d say it’s pretty likely. Oh and all cup games of any sort count. OK - well thanks f...

Re: Summer 2020 transfers

I fancy Edwards is starting the season on loan somewhere. Not just Edwards. I make that 22 of our 23 embargo squad slots filled, unless folk go on loan. And so far we've got two forwards and two wingbacks... Under 21’s who haven’t made 5 first team starts don’t count, does that take out a couple? A...

Well now. Another two signings, right-sider Gethin Jones and left-footed centre-back Reiss Greenidge, and the picture changes again. . BW300804.png .
