He’s another midget you say! We could pick a team of Oompa Loompas and dress santos up as Willy wonka.
Couple of inches shorter than Sheehan, I'd imagine.

Keeps the medical staff in work!
So many positives.

He's also about the same size as my 11-year-old. So I can buy him one of the auction shirts he can actually wear.

Re: Tooling up: The summer 2024 transfer thread

What I will say is that if we signed players like Liam Walsh and then Evatt complained about injuries I'd be tempted to have him sectioned.

Re: Tooling up: The summer 2024 transfer thread

New link to the "Merseyside Messi" Liam Walsh, formerly of Everton and most recently Swans. Had his only season of note at Coventry when they won League One. 26. Never been able to stay fit. Possibly the most "We have no money and are in the League One, but have ambition" signing possible. Could eit...

Re: Tooling up: The summer 2024 transfer thread

I doubt much is going on. People will be on holidays. Am sure a retained list will follow. If Markham is on holiday it'll be a quick one. Usually the busiest time of year in that department. Retained list has to land soon, per the rules. I'd like a settler in through the door, but I imagine an anno...

Sarcevic has had his say on his departure. These failings out happen but if what he says is true….
He also said he didn't dance around and sing about Bolton, but he's on camera doing it.

Why would anyone believe a word of the rest of it?

Re: Tooling up: The summer 2024 transfer thread

Posh have started doing their usual thing of reaching down into the lower league for fast, dribbly lads.

Abraham Odoh this time, formerly of 'Dale.

Good fit for them.

I noticed his name last week and thought of you. But at that point I thought we might be a Champo team in for him
An injury-prone Placheta and a NOX-addled Brandon Williams.

I can pick 'em, lads. I can pick 'em.

Get it done.

Yeah, I wasn't arguing the point. Merely sort of agreeing with you, with a bit of an extra worry.

Evatt might be on a promotion season and people could still turn on a sixpence at the first sight of a hiccup.

"Here we go again" is bound to be a concern, even when we're going well.

On the Norwich theme, Placheta was released by Swans.

Lad would tear League One to bits, fitness allowing.

Re: Should I(E) stay or should I(E) go?

Parky's promotion season we conceded 36 goals. Last season we conceded 36 goals.

We've been told both that the manager can't coach defending like Parky can and the defenders aren't as good as Parky's defenders were.

How does that work?

TBF, I think Ainsworth has fewer votes in favour than keeping Evatt - he's got one with maybe a second pick after Duff from Dibs...Move on. The "get ridders" sometimes don't help themselves much... :-) They don't, but equally your point about "dead man walking" isn't miles off. Like I say, every pr...

Re: Should I(E) stay or should I(E) go?

Absolutely respect all that. And it’s hard to express it accurately on here. Santos is indeed a physical monster and when he’s in that mode is very good. The problem is he’s rarely in that mode and when he’s not is a liability. And certainly doesn’t dominate strikers when he’s not on it. Yes. Howev...

Re: Rising in Wembley's Glow: A Bolton Wanderers Tale - Bolton vs Oxford. 18th May 2024, 4.15pm

The reality is that all the promoted managers got close to the sack last season. All three had fans calling for their heads, all got called bottlers, etc. Mousinho and Bucks did genuinely good jobs. They navigated difficult moments when they could have lost their jobs, under really difficult circums...
