Re: Options for the next manager
I don't think there's anything in that, other than his agent (seemingly incorrectly) getting a whiff of a potential opportunity and putting his name out there.
If there's a conversation, it seems it's one way.

Re: The ianevattable sacking
There's rumours this morning of another backroom change. Craddock out. Yes this seems to be gathering pace, another one (sheer speculation I suspect) is that GT has been given the captaincy and that a few other backroom staff may be out. Usual Evatt, everyone's else's fault but him - if true extrem...

Re: The ianevattable sacking
I think the owners are new to football, aren't they? I'm not expecting a change. Haven't they talked about loyalty in the past? I think everyone hopes each manager is a Big Sam, or Alex Ferguson or Dario Gradi. Maybe they have a good working relationship. I don't know how urgent promotion is financ...

Re: Options for the next manager
Like others, I'd like us to look into the possibility of hiring Selles or Skubala.
If we don't want to pay compensation, I could also see us going for someone like Brian Barry-Murphy.

Re: Options for the next manager
How many of our recent managers have been realistically talked about this far out? Maybe Dougie? No issue with the chat, that's what a forum is for! But there is a good chance it's someone not on anyone's radar yet. We should also remember that FV gave us Keith Hill previously. So, in case Sharon i...

Dave Sutton's barnet wrote: ↑Sun Sep 15, 2024 12:29 amQuestion: Is Stephen Crainey separate and established enough to survive an Evatt sacking?
I wouldn't have thought so. Bar a period in a caretaker coaching role, I think the only member of staff who'd remain would be Craddock.

Re: The ianevattable sacking
Hadn’t spotted my typo! Don’t wish you any ill mr Evatt! There’s basically two options now anyway: 1) tomorrow 2) Monday morning It'll be Monday morning at the earliest, I reckon. Not necessarily. In football it tends not to be an 0930 meeting in the HR office. It doesn't seem to me unlikely that E...

If what seems to be the inevitable happens, I'd imagine Ludonautics might come in useful when looking for a replacement? Although, I'm not sure of the current situation with them given Edwards' recent decision to rejoin Liverpool. Do they have a Manager Search box alongside the player one? Genuinel...

Re: Terriers Barking, But Can Bolton Bite Back? - Bolton v Hudderfield - 14/09/2024 @ 3pm
I've assumed by "conversations" Evatt means he realises it's the end rather than anything else. I don't particularly like Evatt as a personality and have been in favour of a change for a long time but I can't be critical of him for realising the time has come to leave (if that is indeed his intended...
