Re: Should I(E) stay or should I(E) go?

I think we'd been poor before Hird's departure, hadn't we?

And in any event, our most glaring failure have been occurring since before this season.

I'd be surprised if there's a wholesale change in personnel.
I’d be amazed if there isn’t. If we go into next season with Evatt and a similar squad it’s going to be incredibly grim. I could see it being bottom half.

I don't disagree there should be, I'm just not convinced there will.

Re: Should I(E) stay or should I(E) go?

Also concerning, is that in his post-match press conference yesterday, he claimed our performance was "unrecognisable" and he couldn't understand why it went wrong.

Re: Should I(E) stay or should I(E) go?

Did we keep the receipt? This is a big thing for me: his behaviour in the press and his general character. He seems to have a great deal of self-regard but is also very sensitive to criticism and, in my view, fragile under pressure. Too often he stokes animosity only to end up on the wrong side of ...

As a side, can someone explain how we've become one of the most hated teams in the leagues?

Evatts arrogance or our fans?

Both.

Our Twitter hashtag is currently reaping everything it's sown.

Re: Rising in Wembley's Glow: A Bolton Wanderers Tale - Bolton vs Oxford. 18th May 2024, 4.15pm

I'm not buying the Oxford shut down our midfield angle at all, I saw Thomason, Sheehan, Maghoma, even Ogbeta in plenty of space asking for the ball but it never came. The defense wouldn't take the risk of passing them the ball, so it just went back and forth then hoofed to no-one when it got too em...

One year from now Bolton should make it back and do it right next time but sorry again the team failed today.

That's what a lot of people thought last year.

Our problem has been obvious now for a very long time - we have a Plan A and once Plan A is countered it's Goodnight Vienna.

I think he'll be given another year but I'd really prefer it if we shook hands now and brought someone else in.

Well, the players are enjoying it. More than I did! Beers with the fans… still a game to go here lads.

Yeah, I'm not keen either.

Not sure why Charles is coming off. Been above everyone else.

I think Evatt decides on his substitutions before kick-off.

I think it showed we carry more threat going forward when we have less of the ball at times.

A very good point, I feel.

Anyone reckon it'll be a "what were we so nervous about" game? No? me neither.

You never know. Start quickly and get an early goal...

We were fairly comfortable until Charles missed an open goal in the reverse fixture if memory serves.

The business model is shifting towards being able to watch games online. They should probably embrace it, rather than fight it.

I think it's difficult for lower league clubs to attract new supporters through an online streaming model.
