Re: Reconstruction time again: the summer 2018 transfer thread
Rumours from people related to BWFC are almost always wrong. Some people make a living generating BWFC stories and so they need a constant roll of information. Unrelated sources that link to us often have it right. So, when we wanted Anelka, it was the Turkish press that had that weeks before the B...

Re: Reconstruction time again: the summer 2018 transfer thread
At present it seems like we're going to be heavily reliant on loans to add the requisite quality to the squad. Last season overall the players we had in on loan were not good enough, and we need to be aiming higher this time around. There are a lot of really talented English players at the top PL te...

Re: Reconstruction time again: the summer 2018 transfer thread
Two reasons why Pritchard and Johnson are training with the seniors. Firstly, numbers: you want a decent squad in order to properly do drills up to and including full 11 v 11 practices. (Parky is also very keen on mixing the seniors and kids, providing a pathway, stopping them being overawed when c...

Judging by a picture posted on his Twitter this morning Lee Anderson would appear to be in the middle East currently...palindromeofbolton wrote: ↑Sat Jun 23, 2018 5:25 pmTweet from Nixon this afternoon:
Bolton. Very surprise interested party in the club. Bit late to party all the same. No story to write just yet. But interesting development.

Re: Reconstruction time again: the summer 2018 transfer thread
We badly need some pace by my reckoning. The only successful teams that get away with not having fast players are the likes of Spain who are full of technicians.

Re: Reconstruction time again: the summer 2018 transfer thread
Also if we are as financially hamstrung as we appear to be, we're really going to up our game in the loan market. If you look back at the players we had in last year too many of them made little to no impact. If we're committed to playing better football this season then we should be pursuing loan d...

Re: Reconstruction time again: the summer 2018 transfer thread
My first post on here for about 7 years. Personally I'd be very disappointed if we lost Ameobi as I think he'd likely improve for playing in a more technically minded team. I'd also see it as a worrying sign if we're not able to offer reasonable wages to a player like him, as it would seem a strong ...
