Re: Tooling up: The summer 2024 transfer thread
I think it’s fair to suggest that Johnston may not come back at the same level, at least initially, but it’s also easy to forget that he was one of our best players last season. I’m confident that having a naturally left footed player of that quality for the LCB role would’ve had a significant posit...

Re: Tooling up: The summer 2024 transfer thread
Toal, Santos and Johnston would be the starters. I think that’s probably a Championship quality group.irie Cee Bee wrote: ↑Sat May 11, 2024 11:40 pmIf we go up and Jones Santos Toal are our starting Centrebacks, we will come right back down. One out of the 3 plus 2 better quality CBs as starters are needed for the Championship.

Re: Tooling up: The summer 2024 transfer thread
I have Ogbeta as improving going forwards, wanting in defence. He'd be a no from me, unless they think they can work his defence, better. More critical for me should we go up one. So yeah 2 WB's. I'm fairly sure in MF you've described most of the attributes for MF general, Ghost. I'd be a bit conce...

Re: Tooling up: The summer 2024 transfer thread
Even though Sharon et al have shown themselves to be very much sensible spenders, I can't help but think that our budget would be massively increased should we get promoted. As far as I can tell this new EFL tv deal is going to make Championship clubs even better off relative to their League One cou...

Didn’t watch the game as I was playing football, but Oxford would’ve been my preferred final opponent pre-match. Having said that, after yesterday I’m not at all confident that we’re going to prevail.

Re: Up Winter Hill Bah't hat. Home to Barnsley, Tues 7th May 8-0 clock
Sky were saying Brentford have high hopes for Paris next year. I'm somewhat sceptical... Playing in a prem team who don't have much of the ball...eesh. Really hopeful we can keep him. He's got everything else, and it's a lot easier to teach that than the stuff he already has. Hope he's enjoying his...

Same starting team tonight then? That’s probably what I’d go for, and I think Evatt will as well.

Barnsley fans are suddenly feeling confident? Strange, if true.BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Tue May 07, 2024 9:32 amHave felt pretty confident since Friday. This morning though post coffee am absolutely bricking it. Guess it’s just pre match normal fears but seeing Barnsley fans suddenly feel confident isn’t helping.

He’ll not come back, but he’s the best player we’ve produced in a while. I also think he’s no worse than Thomason on the discipline front.BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Sat May 04, 2024 1:23 pmNot for me. Let him rot in the lower leagues. Which is his level.

Thought it was a foul by Cam on first viewing, but after watching it back a few times it definitely isn’t.
